Within hours of getting to Tucson, the impeccably crafted food and warm-hearted people at Urban Fresh had us travelers feeling like we were at home! We’re on a long bicycle tour with our dogs, and the owners staff noticed our bike setup and came out to chat and give fresh water homemade sweet potato treats to the dogs. The Reuben was easily the most satisfyingly umami plant-based sandwich I’ve ever had; the house-made seitan “pastrami” packs a flavor punch. ALERT meat eater review of a vegetarian eatery will commence... ... Now I'm venturing out of my meat eating, animal product consuming, farm/ranch raised roots (thank you sweetheart for broadening my horizons). So, just know that if you are with me on this journey of trying new things Urban Fresh is a fantastic place to venture. I had the burger and not only was it filling but it's one of the top 3 no meat burgers I've tried so far. I did get a bite of the dark chocolate and cherry scone and wow! And just FYI they cater I heard good things about the spinach wrap and the green berry smoothy too . If that's not enough to get some of my fellow carnivores to join me in trying a meatless meal...

This place is awesome! I was skeptical at first (I’m an Omnivore this is the only place my very strict vegan cousin will go I figured fairly boring vegan food). I WAS WRONG!!! Everything I’ve had tasted here has been fantastic, full of flavor filling, but not heavy! Lately my husband has been having lunch there tried the blueberry, watermelon, mint lemonade and he’s been going on on about it. Ok honey… But he brought me some home today it’s insane!!! Amazing! From the moment you walk in the energy is always great and you can tell they put this same energy into the food. The owners are very kind. I like getting the lunch special. The dish includes a side and a drink and as their menu consists of whole foods, the options are always extremely creative and balanced nutritionally. I have even had instances here of dishes I absolutely loved, that I didn’t even used to like before eating plant based. If I could eat here daily I would Also the raw veggie tart is SO good and filling!

As a vegan it can be difficult to find vegan options sometimes. And even more difficult to find unique options that are also nutritionally dense! They have absolutely nailed it. Plus their kindness in guiding us to vegan options and kind words about my friend in the ICU solidified that we will be back many times during our stay here in Tucson. You absolutely should try this place. We all loved our food and especially loved our BLTs!

I come here regularly, at least once a week, and am so grateful for the wonderful food offered at Urban Fresh every day. Their specials are diverse, creative, and delicious. The soups are flavorful (that creamy roasted tomato soup blows my mind!! , and the taco salad? A work of art! Go. Talk to Chauncey. He'll steer you right. :

Food was fresh and delicious. The specials of the day were reasonably priced and included great tasting healthy drinks with free refills. The strawberry scone I bought for dessert looked delicious; however, it was undercooked which was disappointing. It's my second time here. I will give it another try. Reserva una mesa ahora

So far so great! I've been here four times now and keep getting impressed. From the BLT to the juices to the wraps.. this is a must try for anybody who enjoys flavorful food!

First vegan restaurant and it was amazing. Even got some homemade sweet potato scones. The tea was also tasty and the service was impeccable. We will be back!
