Previous reviews do not reflect what we experienced. Upon entering restaurant on a Friday evening at 19:00h the place was empty, and our first thought was to immediately leave. We were invited to the garden which was behind the restaurant, again found the tables empty except 2 couples besides ourselves. The garden area was completely uninviting, unkept and in need of repairs. The 2 person waiting staff was friendly but inexperienced. We ordered a 3 course menu and although each course was decorated to please the eye, nothing was complimentary or tasty... we were also served dishes we didn’t order which made our dining experience last over 3 hours long. First compliment to the kitchen. The food was very good. The special thing here is definitely that there is something else every day. The staff was extremely friendly and even the cook came personally to every walk, whether to explain what you serve or explain how to eat certain things in combination to experience the perfect taste. A very nice evening and clearly recommended. The only thing that would be difficult for me is the size of the restaurant. Everything a little tightly built, like the chairs for me personally too small, too narrow and too shaded, but this does not affect the quality and evaluation of the food. Parking: Unfortunately, the hotel does not have its own parking spaces....
Very refined versions of classical German dishes using local, biologically produced ingredients. Intensive flavours, unusual combinations, tasteful presentation, attentive service in a pleasant ambience (we had an afternoon meal on the beautiful terrace behind the restaurant). It's not cheap and the portions are not large but it's definitely worth it for those seeking an alternative to the touristic fare of Lindau.
In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Lindau. The food is throughtfully and creatively cooked. It is not gimmcky but authentic. The ingredients are of excellent quality. And the service is excellent, specifically, Mr. Siebert, the waiter, makes the evening even more pleasant with his professionalism and kindness. Highly recommended.

The Food was great no doubt about it. But for such a “classy” place and high prices, the service should give much better guidance of their concept. They just assumed everything in clear and do not recommend or explain. For people that are not from Lindau, and I assume a lot are not, it is not the best experience.
Been a guest at Julian Karr in early October and absolutely enthusiastic. It's done 100%. The menu was great. Julian Karr knows exactly what he's doing and you'll notice his passion for cooking. However, we have a feedback: it would be nice if you get the menu order in font form at the latest when paying.
Wow, what a relaxed atmosphere. I bumped into this restaurant by chance. And it has more than fulfilled my expectations. Perfectly set menu. Every walk briefly explained, very good wine. In short, a perfect (dining) experience! Very much. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
the garden they have behind them, where they grow their sweet is simply wonderful to eat. eating is really good, the staff is nice. only that is that it is a bit expensive, but unlike that everything is perfect.
