The Mac and cheese was phenomenal. It was creamy and full of flavor. The corn bread was super unique, coming from the states it was like no other corn bread I’ve had before. It actually had notes of peanuts in it which I thought was super unique. Also the sauces were delicious. I attribute a restaurant with excellent homemade sauces as one that truly knows how to combine flavors because a perfect combination of dish and sauce is very difficult to achieve. The complementary notes of this dish was excellent and they gave a unique twist on a staple dish. Very impressed particularly their response in light of the pandemic. Well done!
I really want to give this place 5 stars: the creativity, passion and flair on the display is incredibly impressive. for me personally, it was probably the best vegetarian food I ever had. the weeping was unconventional and the pairings were excellent. but I couldn't help, but the feeling that for someone with a smooth closed mind that would come food/winning as a bit boring. vanderlyle is technically and unpredictable. it is not your traditional restaurant. carnivores when they go in chess with their expectations, then I can't see how they wouldn't enjoy the experience.
review based on a takeaway meal for 2. I ordered meals for 2, but it looked like a meal for one and may be costly given the amount as far as I felt. I also wish I could confirm where each ingredient came from as the restaurant states their connection with farms. While I have subtracted one star for those reasons, all the items were so impressive, diverse in ingredients, well designed for a combination of dishes, and amazingly delicious in the end... a party of four to celebrate a birthday dinner was extraordinary. as a carnivore I did not even find myself for every meat in the dressed all dishes had a hearty hearty quality. drinking pairing was well dressed and obviously thought through to great detail. to round it off, was a beautiful birthday card that was signed by all employees on the table, a nice touch and thoughtful gesture very recommended.
This restaurant is incredible. It's worth the challenge of trying to get a reservation. I have dined in this place three times and ordered takeout ten times, and I have never gotten sick. They offer special gluten-free breads and are able to modify each dish, instead of just removing items from the plate. I absolutely adore this restaurant.

Absolutely incredible food, service and atmosphere. Each course was beautifully plated and the flavours were perfectly matched. I cannot stop thinking and talking about the savory doughnut.
