Vanish Farmwoods Brewery

I've driven by this place many times but never stopped in until yesterday, and it turned out to be a hidden gem! It's a very family-friendly venue with plenty to see and do. The beer selection is excellent, and the bar food is impressively elevated. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, which was spot-on, paired with their Fade to Black German-style black lager that I chose. The staff was friendly and attentive. I spent most of my time in the main tap room enjoying a live performance by a local band called As U Wish, who delivered flawless covers of hits dating back to the 60s. We loved everything about this place! The beer was tasty and reasonably priced. I really enjoyed their hazy. The food wasn't outstanding but, for a brewery, I found it to be good enough. I didn't come for the food after all. I really loved all of the extras that were available on the large property. That's what puts this place above the others in the area in my opinion. The playground was great and the arcade was especially awesome. My kids spent a good amount of time there whilst I tried a few more beers. I would suggest that they put covers over their electrical outlets in the arcade as that is definitely a safety hazard. One in particular was accessible within the racing game.

We like going to Vanish. If you don’t like kids running around, this is not the place for you. They allow dogs which is cool. Have a variety of spaces to hang. Decent music. Bathroom cleanliness is subpar. Food is mostly great tho have had quite a few cold items. Like the chicken sandwich, which is really just strips thrown on a bun. I asked them to warm it and it still came back cold. So that was disappointing. They were supposed to have tacos doe a weekend special but didn’t have them as of 2 pm Sunday when I went. But still advertised. Bbq pork has always been great. And Oyster place is outstanding. Beer is pretty good. Just wish the pink grapefruit sour was back.

Just one letter away from "varnish," which is what I imagine this brew tastes like! Unfortunately, my personal experience was disappointing. I know the locals might not appreciate my review, but out of the six drinks I tried, I didn’t like any of them (see picture below). I've been to many breweries, including some in the area, and I found this beer lacking. While the grounds are nice and the facility has great amenities, if the beer doesn’t taste good, what’s the point? I would much rather recommend Black Hoof, which is just a few miles away. This restaurant is a great place to check out if you're in the area. There's ample parking and plenty of space to relax. While the beer menu is pretty standard, the oyster bar is what really distinguishes this spot from other breweries in the county. They offer several different seating areas, and you'll find a variety of merchandise to take home as a keepsake from your visit. I hope you enjoy your time here!

I absolutely loved this place! I've tried their beer many times before, but this was my first visit to the brewery itself. It's quite spacious with plenty of room to relax. There are numerous spots to grab drinks and order food, all at reasonable prices and delicious. We also thoroughly enjoyed the live music. I only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!

The beer here is excellent, but there are some drawbacks. The outdoor area isn't accessible for strollers or wheelchairs, and unfortunately, there are no changing tables in either of the bathrooms. If you're going to have a kids' area and a full playground, it's essential to provide appropriate accommodations for families with young children.

Eh... it just wasn't for me. The vibe is very hipster and industrial. I wish I could appreciate it more, but I'm struggling to get into the whole beer snob scene. I can see how someone really into beer might enjoy this place more than I did. Reserva una mesa ahora

We made a stop on our way to Shenandoah 100 and had a great time enjoying some beer and food.
