This restaurant has so much potential, but lacks warmth and the meals are mediocre at a middle to high price range.There were two dishes on the breakfast menu that are no longer an option, which will make it difficult for any vegetarian's out there to choose from. Actually it would be impossible. The breakfast that I had was around $18. The bread tasted stale, it was dry, the eggs weren't done well at all and the salmon seemed to be just tossed onto the plate from a packet.I have now tried this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have eaten at Vault several times which tells you I like it. The wine and drinks list is not huge but has some good options and the prices are reasonable. The food is tasty, well prepared and fresh. Last visit I had the lamb cutlets which were delicious. The servings are generous so don't over-order, especially if you want dessert. The cake display is very tempting! I have had variable experiences with the service depending on who is on duty. Generally the staff are friendly and the service is good. First visit to this busy corner eatery, and I'll be honest, I hankered for the old school Italian trattoria opposite, but when it comes to friendship, selfishness isn't such an endearing quality.The reward was an excellent, plentiful and tasty Lamb shank special; the Wednesday Chicken Parma Specials were simply great value and the Fish & Chips, reliable if a little mean with the fish. OMG, never seen before such a beautiful and well presented breakfast that even came with a delicious oats and banana smoothie, yeah good named GREAT BREAKFAST BOARD !!! To highlight the soft poached eggs, the fresh smoked salmon and the crispy hash browns,, will definitely come back with some more friends !!Thanks to the waitress for showing me around, such a beautiful place, we hope we can book soon the wine dinner room inside the VAULT, amazing !!!
