I hate to say that this restaurant should close until they sort out their heating system for customers and staff - it was only 5 degrees inside while it was 6 degrees outside! Despite this, we went for a couple of cocktails and some food. Unfortunately, many items were not available for the cocktails. The food was actually really good, especially the new pizza offering, but it was so cold inside that it was difficult to enjoy. Compliments to the kitchen for their hard work. Everyone was sitting in big coats to try and keep warm - the staff were very pleasant and apologetic, but they couldn't do much about the cold (even the big heaters brought in caused electrical issues). Management, please...
Attended the weekly Wednesday quiz, which is usually a joyous affair. However it was not to be this week as the team was let down by an overly confident quizzer who knows nothing about Kayne West. Venue’s a tad on the cold side but this is more than made up for through the warmth of the welcoming smile from Cat behind the bar. Lucky for us, after the quiz the DJs turned the heat up with bangers galore, my eardrums could barely handle the excitement. Will be back next week.
There was a mistake on the menu stating that the pizza deal was available until 9, but in reality, it was only available until 8. When we inquired about the discrepancy, we were met with some hostility as if we were the ones at fault and were not given any compensation. Additionally, we received a seemingly classist comment about studying in Dundee. This left a negative impression on us.
I absolutely loved the food here, the staff told me it was a new menu and I loved it!!! I gobbled the tacos up and my hubby got fish and chips. The server Bridget made me amazing cocktails (for a cheeky dessert) and was very skilled!!!!!! I was eyeing up buffalo chicken fries so will be back for some more (and to give the chef a big kiss). AMAZING

I received 5-star service from Cat, who was charming and endearing. Honestly, The Vic is quite cold due to the awful heating system. However, the staff, particularly Cat, are excellent.
I am a tour guide and i have visited the restaurant with my spanish group. Jack and Davy have been lovely with us. Good service, good food and good everything. We will come back!
Came for some lunch, attentive staff, believe jack was his name? Good drinks and an incredible burger. Probably the best one I’ve had in St Andrews in a good while.
Amazing cocktails and service from Brea. Amzing atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back and next time we visit we will be getting food as well as cocktails.

Great atmosphere and service, Quizzes are great thanks to Kenzie and Cat is the best bartender, all in all would highly recommend!
The big Fact Hunt was top notch. 10/10 Would quiz again. Cat was the best bartender. Highly recommended...that you bring a jacket.
