If I were the manager of this restaurant I would be highly concerned about the level of service being provided to the customers. Let’s face it when you spend $150 for two for “Tea” you arn’t paying for the food, you’re paying...for the experience, and the experience was definitely sub par. It ranged from simple things like having to wait a long time before we were recognized/greeted by our server who first served the table next to us, even though they are arrived well after us nothing says welcome like blatantly ignoring you... All of us left full. there was lots of food. The service was ok, but not exceptional. The room is lacking in ambiance. Dated. A pianist would take the afternoon to the next level. I had the vegetarian tea and the sandwiches were exceptional. My...husband would have liked more sandwiches and less sweets. All of us (including my 9 year old son) felt the sweets were WAY TOO SWEET. We would have enjoyed the food so much more if everything wasn't so sweet. Half the sugar in all recipes would make the afternoon so much more enjoyable. Even your dark chocolate had too much sugar. My son loved the hot chocolate with a side of marshmallows. That made his day.

Thank you to our wonderful server, Bish, at the Kind Edward in Toronto for Afternoon tea on December 15th. He made us feel so very much at home! We loved his kindness taking photos of us with champagne and tea. He was particularly sweet...with my daughter engaging her in conversation and making her smile. Thank you, Bish! You made our visit to the King Eddie feel warm and like home!

We attended the afternoon tea service for a friend’s birthday! The service was great! The food was terrific and the atmosphere inviting. My only comment was that the two offerings of tea (Sloane and the other brand) were a bit much! I’m not sure why...they didn’t just opt to choose one brand or narrow their selection for each! No one needs to choose between 20 teas...

A really enjoyable tea service in old world settings. I took a good portion back to my hotel to munch on later. Good choices and quite a variety. The only issue was that my colleague had an allergy the staff let us know that we...should have informed them of this when making the reservation.
