This place serves incredible food: simple yet authentic. Every dish is served at a correct pace, neither bombarded all at the same time nor served really slow. The overall taste is balanced and every ingredient shines through. The decor is contemporary, stylish and sophisticated. The staff is extremely polite and thoughtful. This place is apt for long hour conversations as the ambience of this place is cozy and comfortable. The menu is extensive and has a variety of choices for everyone. This place is absolutely incredible! The restaurant has an aesthetic interior with unique decor and beautiful dining experience. Servers were also patient, accomodating and dedicated to ensuring a comfortable dinner. Went here for date night, and had ordered the first of four banquet options. The entire meal was filling, and used highly quality ingredients that were cooked to perfection. I was quite disappointed with my experience. I assumed there would be more options that were 'Viet Next Door ' not 'Vietnam ' dishes. The place is nice and cute, but the food was just okay. I would definitely recommend the clay hot pots.. but the salt and pepperes squid was quite average. The salt and peppered eggplant was definitely better, but all in all it was just.. ok. Disappointing that we had to wait midway into the meals (and then a follow up) for our drinks literally cans or coke and Sprite. And then super disappointing that two of the dishes we ordered were forgotten and just not served. Oh also, the fried ice cream was gross $10 for undercooked, weird flavoured batter.

a very busy Wednesday night. the service was very slow, maybe they were just short occupied. the food took a long time to get out. the prawn hot and acidic suppe was the best dish. the fried rice was burned and not pleasant to eat. the salad and crispy chicken dishes were full of taste. overall, eating was pretty good. Viet Next Door is a lovely setting the food was DELicious! SO many options for food, the Spring Rolls and Rare Beef Noodle Soup are a must!! Best Vietnamese food we’ve had in Australia. One of the finest Vietnamese recipes I have tried in Adelaide. We went there to celebrate my birthday and we had an amazing time. The staff were warm and polite. I would definitely visit this place again and will recommend it to my family and friends.
