I love Vietnamese and Thai dishes. I’ve known about this place for quite some time but got the chance to go a couple of times only recently. (Note: they are closed on Mondays. The first meal I had was shrimp Pad Thai. It was a big portion, filling and well-seasoned. Lunch on another day was a large House Specialty Pho, with beef balls, tendon and flank. It was, again, a generous serving. Pho is not pho without the sprouts and basil leaves and, of course, a touch of hot sauce. Lime juice gives it also a refreshing taste. This is a friendly family-run business. Plus prices are reasonable. The place itself is looking old and outdated but it’s clean and there’s lots of natural light coming in. I...

My husband and I stopped at the Viet Thai Basil for dinner on our way through Brantford. He had eaten lunch there before, but neither of us had dined from the dinner menu. We decided to try the set meal for 2. Lots of food for $36 (plus tax tip). 2 meat spring rolls, 2 large shrimp fresh rolls, chicken lemongrass soup, rice, noodles, chicken with vegetables and shrimp with vegetables. More that the 2 of us could eat! Everything was fresh and well cooked. The soup had just the right amount of fire from the chili oil floating on top. Service was fast and friendly. This is a cheap and cheerful, no frills kind of place with good food in excellent portions.

I don't know who wrote these reviews, but I was there on a Saturday night. Ordered Shrimp Pad Thai. The bizarre creation they call pad thai is something I've never seen and it was bland and well just not good. Lots of brocolli and carrots and other veggies More veggies than noodles and the 4 tiny shrimp. Once my food was dropped off I didn't see a waitress again until I was about to leave. I think they were too busy taking care of a crying baby in the back. I had to get up and flag down someone to pay as did another couple that was there. Not worth the money or time. I would never go there again or recommend it to anyone.

Always pleasant and friendly staff The food is always prompt and fresh. We love the Pho and the fresh spring rolls! It’s always a treat to come here.Vegetarian options: Loads of vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly environment. The owners have their kids there too.Always welcoming and kind.Dietary restrictions: My husband has a peanut allergy, and they always accommodate our food.

A typical PHO joint with linoleum and harsh lighting, but the Pho is what you came for. Soup was excellent with very good Thai Basil to add. Fresh spring rolls are a great change from the fried rolls in most places. Best part of the place are the friendly and helpful owners. Highly recommend

This is a homely restaurant with an average ambience. It’s good for quick lunch/dinner. The food was good and had enough portions with respect to price.Vegetarian options: Vegetable fried rice, vegetable spring roll, vegetable red Thai curry

I will be biased because this is my favourite restaurant in brantford, but to be honest and fair, just high quality food, reasonable prices and very friendly owners, so worth a try for sure, I would bet you will go back

Delicious food. I was craving soup and I got the wonton soup and my boyfriend got pho. Would definitely go back and get the wonton soup again. Price was really great too.
