Vines Restaurant at Helen's Hill

What a wonderful anniversary! We were accomodated by moving our reservation to an earlier time and arrived to find out table was the best in the house, in the corner overlooking the panoramic views! I would suggest trying to time this with sunset as it would have been incredible. This is such a beautiful venue, stone masonry, dreamy lighting, white tablecloths and beautiful stemware all add to the ambiance.The entree, main, dessert and cheese platter were all served with a paired wine. We are not wine drinkers though the waitress made sure we were aware that there were alternatives available. We have been to The Vines a number of times over the last few years, always enjoying the wonderful outlook, the meals, wines and obliging staff. This was our first visit since the change of management. We went with another couple and weren't disappointed. The view was as lovely as ever, with friendly, attentive staff. The chosen meals were all well presented, nicely cooked and generous in size. We all enjoyed the wines we selected. The only minor issue was serving across the table. Our table was at a window, not giving much space to serve, perhaps bringing the table out a little may help. Worthy of a visit.

I had heard mixed reviews HOWEVER I cannot understand the negative ones because I could find no fault with this Restaurant. The views are awesome, the service is efficient, courteous and friendly. I chose the Duck as this for me is a true test of a good chef.I was not disappointed in fact I go so far as saying this was the best duck meal I have had in Australia. It was tender, flavorsome and beautifully presented.I will most certainly be back and I thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

Nice Views - Forget using a Scoopon here though - We went expecting to get a decent share platter for each couple - supposedly valued at $39 per platter and we ended up with one share platter between the four of us. Eggplant Lasagne/Glazed Duck/Ocean Trout or the Eye Fillet suddenly weren't available on the Menu despite the Scoopon saying so and advertised as mains on the Vines Website. The mains were replaced with the likes of Salt Reserva una mesa ahora

I would like to thankyou for the wonderful lunch last week., I came with the group of friends and the staff what amazing, The Food OMG the Pork Belly all I can say is I am heading back for that, Not only did we enjoy all of this but along the views and wine just made the day, Thankyou again guys and David you out did your self with your service,Thanks Bron

Absolutely perfect views. Recommend the shared platter and the mussels main course. They were ample and scrumptious. Unfortunately my husband's steak was so tough he had to saw at it with the steak knife and it was so chewy, he left most of it on the plate.The steak was perfectly cooked but they might like to reconsider the cut of beef used.

Had a fabulous lunch starting with a shared Vines Tasting platter, the feta cheese omg yum.The Tom Yum mussels as an entree sized main was huge and the other two guests absolutely loved the flavours of their duck and chicken.Also had a wonderful view from our window seat.Delightful and attentive service.Highly recommended

Enjoyed a beautiful social lunch with friends. Food was amazing and matched equally by the service. Staff are very friendly and efficient. The views, overlooking the vineyards and the Yarra valley are amazing.

The views and the restaurant are just stunning. Overlooking the vineyards. The meal was absolutely stunning particularly the The tom yum mussels. Highly recommend!
