OMGoodness!!! This is the best gem yet that I've found on my foodie adventure!!! This original, family restaurant is situated in one of the oldest Mill towns in America. With the warm family atmosphere, I knew I was right at home and not only the food but the service would be impeccable and spot on! I was absolutely right! This place is amazing and a hidden gem. We were just planning on walking around Occucan and we ended up getting the munchies. We say the cute little sign the said outside dining and we decided to go in. The service was amazing! Our waiter was friendly, attentive and genuine. He was very welcoming. I don't give 5 stars often but the food was very good. The wings (spicy) are buffalo but have something else in the sauce. Very good. The shrimp scampi was apparently delicious. My father-in-law said it was the best he ever had. Decent quantity of large shrimp too. My wife got the salad (hydroponic greens) or something like that. Looked like there were various fruit and nuts as well and it was a big salad. She really liked it. Not sure if the place here is just small staffed or was slow. Took about 35-45 min to get our food and there was a table who got seated after us who got served food before myself. The food overall is nicely seasoned and the presentation could use a little work. I ordered the crab cake platter which was delicious but very wet and the side of veggies were just drenched in oil. I not being a gravy fan would not want it on the mashed potatoes. My boyfriend ordered thebrjben and it came out really soggy but he really loved the tasted and it was pretty stuffed.
I love stopping in Occoquan for a bite when I can. I was so hungry and in such a rush this time that I stopped at the first place... Virginia Grill. The young people there were acting like young people. Aloof and disinterested. One fetched my waiter, who was middle-aged and chatty. Nice guy. Very mediocre and overpriced food came out quickly. It wouldn't be the first place I'd go to when in Occoquan again, but it wasn't the worst I've ever had.
The coziest comfiest tastiest cup of Virginia peanut soup ever. We also came for lunch this was phenomenal they blew a Reuben right out of the park my I'm not usually a coffee man but I had a long drive ahead of me and it was the last night this week I get to see with my hopefully wife-to-be. Couldn't have been better.
It was good, but not great. Staff was friendly, chicken ceasar salad was very good, coffee was great, waffle was heavy and mediocre, sausage was dense and dry, the ambience and location are wonderful for a leisurely Sunday getaway. They no longer offer a brunch buffet, though, menu only.

Delicious greasy cheesy char grilled burger hit the spot after a day of exploration! It wasn’t very busy, which was nice. Sat outside overlooking the water watching people float by. Very friendly waitress. Definitely a place to try again.
They are awesome. Their Crab Cake Burger test fresh and yummy. There are real lump of crab meat. Waterside outside sitting is very soothing. Friendly server. It worth to go back just for his hospitality.
