Our family has enjoyed take-out pizza from Viva Sue for many years, including pizzas for many of our sons' birthday parties with their friends. The uncalled for rudeness we experienced during our past two interactions with them have prompted me to write this review. 1. My son was late to pick up the pizza he ordered and the man behind the counter rudely told that him that he was one hour late (he was not that late,) that they had to sell the pizza to someone else and that he had to wait for another.2 When my husband telephoned to ask for a price/quotation for 15 pizzas for donation to a disadvantaged youth charity for their Christmas party, he was rudely told that they have a set menu price...

Viva Sue Pizza (not Viva Su) is one of the best, if not the best pizza places in Metro Vancouver. Note: the Address is actually 5155 Canada Way, BURNABY, BC (not Coquitlam) as noted on Trip Advisor.This is our go to place to pick-up pizza. We do not request delivery because we live a little far from the location. When we pick it up we get a free can of pop for every large pizza ordered.The crust is thick and delicious, the cheese is extremely tasty and the pizza is always cooked to perfection (never over or underdone.) By far the best pizza in Burnaby. Wait, no, best pizza in Metro Vancouver! The location and restaurant itself may not be very hip and hapenning, but trust me, that does not matter. The family owned place feel cozy and familiar when you walk in, and I love all the team sponsored photos on the walls. Although I recommend getting take out or ordering. it's just the kind of pizza you want to pig-out to while watching a good movie or having drinks with friends at home.Now to the show stopper: the pizzas! I've been coming to this place for over 25 years for take out and since the hay days of two for one pizza and $2.00 per slice pizza's a Burnaby Central Secondary.I moved out of Burnaby 10 years ago and moved back into Burnaby with my family. The quality of their pizza is still the same as I remembered. The husband and wife team are still there and looks like they have recruited their family to work. I have to mention, everyone who grew up in Burnaby know's this place is legit. Hands down authentic Italian pizza which stuck with their grass roots of family recipes.My favourite pizza is the Ground Beef with Green Peppers. This classic family owned joint has been around for what feels like forever. Their slogan is no joke, they really do have the greatest pizza around. I love toppings but whenever I go to viva sue I reminisce and get the pepperoni. It's some amazing decadent huge salami pepperoni. Not those nasty no let crunchy acidic creating pepperoni other pizza places put on. Then they load it with cheese and the crust is just the perfect ratio and has a great crunch. I haven't been disappointed since high school. They make quick, hot, delicious pies. Definately not a place to go if you're watching your waistline. I love this place! Viva Sue is a family owned and operated pizza shop. There are a few tables to eat in and a limited number of parking spots in the small strip mall. If my office was still nearby, I'd be ordering more often. But since we've moved, I go there periodically whenever I'm in the neighbourhood. They are a short walk from Burnaby Village Museum, in the heart of Burnaby.Order ahead of time if you want to take out. They do offer delivery. And they are extremely busy with business orders during the daytime on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

I'm not generally a big fan of pizza, but Viva Sue's is one of the few places I definitely enjoy - nice crust - not too crunchy (thin) nor too chewy (thick) - lots of cheese, not too much sauce. Location is handy for us, when we're coming home on the freeway it's right at the Canada Way/Kensington exit.

I love that Viva Sue is family-owned and right around the corner. The food is not fussy, not low fat, not vegan nor is it complicated. It's simple delectable pizza with fresh toppings. The pastas are filled with cheesy deliciousness. And the family is always super nice. This is a must-try!

We love the Super Sue, my teenage boys order it themselves and walk over to pick it up. They are so friendly and we love that they are right in our neighbourhood.

Have tried several different types and all are so good. Great crisp to crust. Very nice cheese used. Great place.
