I thought the W was quite good overall. I ordered the mini eggs Benedict with ham, which was very tasty. The hollandaise sauce was decent, but there wasn’t much of it on the dish, so I asked for extra. Unfortunately, it arrived in a small ramekin and was stone cold. When I asked about this, I was informed that it’s always served that way, but I’ve never encountered cold hollandaise on eggs Benedict before. To make matters worse, they charged me an extra three dollars for that tiny ramekin! While the sauce was homemade and delicious, the cold and thick consistency diminished my enjoyment. Breakfast diners in FSJ are almost always crowded, noisy and rushed. W is the newly renovated cafe side of Mama Panda's Chinese restaurant. Since opening in May it hasn't quite caught on with the morning crowd. This allows patrons to enjoy fresh home style cooking in relative quiet. The kitchen does the little things really well. The right amount of runny yolk in a soft poached egg without leaving an uncooked white. The use of fresh, rather than processed frozen hashed browns. Disappointing. I visited this restaurant for breakfast with some friends and a young child, and I found it lacking in nearly every aspect. The food was bland, with little to no seasoning or salt. The wait time for standard breakfast items was surprisingly long. The men's restroom had only one toilet, which was out of order, and there were no alternative options noted (I assume the women's restroom was fine, but a sign indicating that would have been helpful). Our table was also quite wobbly. The prices seemed to reflect a premium dining experience, but, as I mentioned, this place is far from that standard. This restaurant is a typical breakfast spot with a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. My server was wonderful and made sure my coffee was always full, which I really appreciated! I had the fully loaded omelette with shredded hash browns. While I found the omelette a bit oily, which is understandable given the bacon and cheese, the hash browns were incredibly crispy and so delicious that I couldn't stop eating them!

What a great place to go for breakfast. Service was quick and efficient. As far as the food goes I was very impressed. Ordered the eggs benny with a side of fruit. The eggs were hot and cooked perfectly, hollandaise was homemade and delish, and the fruit in the fruit salad was fresh and not overripe which I find is a common issue. Was also fairly priced. Very impressed and will return if I am ever in FSJ for breakfast.

We visit the W every time we are in Fort Saint John. Breakfast is excellent and they offer gluten-free options. We appreciate the efficient staff and the coffee that always comes. Food: 5 Service: 5 atmosphere: 5.

Great place for breakfast, great food and all at a great price. I like the decor, I like the eggs and bacon and my son loves the waffles!! It's a busy place for a reason!! Just a great place!! I recommend it!!
