Waldrestaurant St. Valentin

During a family visit in the area, we came across this little restaurant, very much hidden away from the town centre, in the forest above Güntherstal. It is indeed a secret spot as you would never find it, if you didn't know about it! I went there with 8 people yesterday and I was so impressed with this place! The outside area is beautiful and the surrounding is super quiet and fabulous for anyone who likes being out in the nature. The service was superb. They are not trying to save money with waiting staff as there were three waiters responsible for the outside area. They were very friendly and efficient. Within a maximum of 5 minutes we all were served our drinks and the food also came out...

When we went it was nice enough to sit outside. I have actually gone twice now and I love 3 hours away. My family and myself really enjoyed the food and service. The cook actually put something special together for my sister because she just couldn't find something on the menu that she was interested in. So they said just tell them what she wants and they made it. I can't express enough how much I we loved the food. I have been in Germany for a year. I have eaten at MANY places and I think this restaurant is by far the best. It is hard to find but definitely worth the trip and adventure.

Warm and nice family friendly place, ordered spätzle which happened to be really (really) salty (were just mine, coz my friend ones were fine), mentioned it to the owner who was as sorry as my spätzle were salty (he was really really sorry), apologized many times, asked me if I wanted a schnapps or an espresso (had to drive and was planning to sleep early so declined both), when the bill came, we didn't pay for that dish... Not many restaurants would go to that extend :)

Mitten im Wald gelegen, ist das Lokal ein super Wanderziel. Normalerweise kann man an solchen Orten nicht wählerisch sein. Doch hier gibt es vegetarische und teilweise auch vegane Gerichte. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und kleine Extrawünsche wurden mit einem Lächeln entgegen genommen und gerne erfüllt. Das ist leider nicht selbstverständlich. Reserva una mesa ahora

If you are not local.. you will never find it, but that's not always bad!A very nice restaurant in the middle of nowhere in Black Forest. You can find a huge variety of local diches and drinks. Home made pasta, fresh salads, low prices and gentle people are some good reasons for have a dinner there!!! The place is wonderful and the restaurant too.

Simply recommended...the food was delicious, the service was friendly and the price was right! We like to come back again and again and hike to St Valentin, which you should do without a car. Went to St Valentin again for lunch this afternoon it was really tasty again and the service was very friendly. Thanks to the whole team

I absolutely love the place. As a local I am lucky enough to be able to go there whenever I want! ;)The food is delicious, the service is perfect. The location? Hidden in the forest. Quiet and relaxing...perfect for a nice quiet and romantic evening!
