Waldrestaurant St. Valentin

During a family visit in the area, we came across this little restaurant, very much hidden away from the town centre, in the forest above Güntherstal. It is indeed a secret spot as you would never find it, if you didn't know about it! I went there with 8 people yesterday and I was so impressed with this place! The outside area is beautiful and the surrounding is super quiet and fabulous for anyone who likes being out in the nature. The service was superb. They are not trying to save money with waiting staff as there were three waiters responsible for the outside area. They were very friendly and efficient. Within a maximum of 5 minutes we all were served our drinks and the food also came out...

When we went it was nice enough to sit outside. I have actually gone twice now and I love 3 hours away. My family and myself really enjoyed the food and service. The cook actually put something special together for my sister because she just couldn't find something on the menu that she was interested in. So they said just tell them what she wants and they made it. I can't express enough how much I we loved the food. I have been in Germany for a year. I have eaten at MANY places and I think this restaurant is by far the best. It is hard to find but definitely worth the trip and adventure.

If you are not local.. you will never find it, but that's not always bad!A very nice restaurant in the middle of nowhere in Black Forest. You can find a huge variety of local diches and drinks. Home made pasta, fresh salads, low prices and gentle people are some good reasons for have a dinner there!!! The place is wonderful and the restaurant too.

Simply recommended...the food was delicious, the service was friendly and the price was right! We like to come back again and again and hike to St Valentin, which you should do without a car. Went to St Valentin again for lunch this afternoon it was really tasty again and the service was very friendly. Thanks to the whole team Reserva una mesa ahora

as an old freiburger but resding in the Uk since thew mod 70s i always visit this joint when i return....superb food.....great setti9ng particularly in the summer...we walk there from the city centre hotel.....a good hour and you will be ready fore the great schnitzel..super salads and savpury pancakes....go get it !

situated in the middle of the forest, this is a super hiking destination. Usually they can't be picky at such places. but here there are vegetarian and partly vegan dishes. the service was very friendly and small extra requests were made with a smile and happy to meet. that is not self-evident.

Just above Günterstal this is a nice place to have diner or lunch or whatever. We were there in the late afternoon. Service was friendly and fast. Food was really good and tasty. Prices for food and drinks were moderate, considering the quality I would even say low.
