Waldwick Whistle Stop

After seeing a posting on a local info site, we took the kids here for breakfast. Our kids LOVE anything trains and Waldwick Whistle Stop was exactly that plus it's located near a train station, so for the kids, seeing the real NJ Transit trains pass by was awesome. Furthermore, they have miniature train tracks set out on their yard with beautiful hand painted buildings. Oh, the food and the staff was hands down one of the best I've had/met in a while! My wife and the kids also loved the food. My son loved their sandwich so much that he actually asked a second! Waldwick Whistle Stop is our new favorite and we're sure to frequent it now for lunch and dinner (depending on the day of the week)!...

I've enjoyed this jewel for over 15 years. I order so often that they know my voice when I call in my order. They could not be more beautiful, the food always delicious and hot as I like it. Children are pampered if they like trains. All decorations have the train theme and there is even a whole G-scale layout that allows model trains to run at weekends weather naturally allowed. They have an outdoor seating area and a wooden pullet for young children. And since it's close to the NJ Transitbahn, you can, if your luck, see a real train rolling over. The prices are cheap and the food is great. They also have seasonal ice aromas. It's such a beautiful place to bring the whole family. You can eat outside on the benches while the children play on the wooden train, or they can watch how the toy train goes around the track circuit while the real trains feed at the station. It is a great location and a beautiful atmosphere, a local jewel.

Great little café. Come for the ice, stay for the operational train layout in the front garden! Great place to spend an afternoon.
