I have been going to Wans (Nancys) for over 20 years and the food has slowly reduced in terms of quality. I ordered 5 meals last night and was astonished that the cost was just short of £50 I then noticed that they have now decided that none of their meals come with rice or chips, even though they have kept the price the same. Sadly I wont be coming back, the Acropolis meals are just as good and much cheaper as they include the rice and chips. I feel Wans need to look seriously at their money grabbing price restructure £10 for a bog standard takeaway is a joke
Tried to order a takeaway for delivery including a meal for me, vegetarian with no MSG, had to ring 27 times to get through! When I got through I asked a gentleman three times for what I ordered then I got passed to a lady to repeat the order twice only to be told they don’t do it without MSG! I said Id ordered this dish least half a dozen times before with no problem and was asked if it was a different restaurant! I said not to worry I’d order elsewhere and was told okay, sorry about that no problem! Unbelievable, they obviously don’t need the custom!!!!
I am amazed that this restaurant is still operating! Every time we have tried to place an order by calling, the phone just rings and goes to voicemail. It doesn't matter if it's a Saturday or a Tuesday, we can never get through in less than an hour. The website is also down for ordering, so that's not an option either. On the rare occasion that we do manage to place an order, the food is good. Overall, I would recommend avoiding this place unless you have the patience to call repeatedly for an hour and nothing better to do with your time.
Can’t believe on prices now as most meals DONT include chips and rice as normal therefore one basic meal is over 10 pound It’s a joke as when I even mentioned it in doors there attitude was not the best from the girl on the till. When I got home the meal special foo yung . So greasy. Poor small portion of chips and cold. This place is not the same Poor service

Found a hair in my Salt and pepper chicken. Very unhygienic and the chips were cold! Have ate in here before and it has been lovely but has really went down hill since April will NOT be eating out of here again!
In brief, Wans has always been my go-to for Chinese takeout/delivery. It's convenient, easy to park, and the food is always fresh and arrives hot. Their delivery times are always accurate.
Best Takeaway in Ormskirk always order from Wans. Upon phoning such a wonderful lady remembers me and our address, they have the most delicious food and remember you pay what you get..!
The fries are not as delicious as they used to be, but the rest of the food is still great. I'm not sure if they are using a different type of potato now.

Tried last two Saturdays to ring for delivery order. Rang from 5pm onwards and line was engaged all the time . Gave up after 35 mins
The food we had delivered was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, waste of money!!!! All went in the bin
