Came here to meet up with a friend from college. This restaurant is tiny and can be crowded at times. We made a reservation, be aware they only have seatings at 6 and 8 for dinner. Service was pretty slow as they were so busy. I was kind of disappointed that they didn't have omakase but they did tell us that we could reserve that a week or so in advance if anyone is interested. The clam soup with udon was pure umami and I liked the broth a lot. I am so lucky to meet chef Nelson again in Jersey. Last time was when he was having the Sushi 21 in Newark NJ five years ago. Every material is so fresh as they have them shipped over straight from famous seafood market straight in Japan. He wouldpresent you the dish in beautiful decoration , and wonderful introduction on how they are prepared and created. Service is alsosweet as we have waiters and waitress help you clean up the table right after each course. The sushi at this restaurant is absolutely amazing! This has officially become my favorite spot for sushi. The salmon was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, and the avocado was delightfully creamy. The service was outstanding, and the ambience is charming. I tried a variety of sushi rolls, and they were all excellent. It's been a while since I found a sushi place that I consider my go-to, and I’m thrilled to finally have one after living in both NYC and LA. The prices are very reasonable—higher than your average sushi joint, but not so expensive that I’d only visit for special occasions. I highly recommend this place!
Wasai was recommended to me and I'm glad to have finally checked them out for a girls brunch. What we got: Seared Tuna Tataki Grilled Octopus Escargot with Mushroom Sauce Mes Reves Roll Seared Tuna and Asparagus with Wasabi Chardonnay Sauce Roasted Duck Confit with Mushroom Risotto Premium Aged Angus Steak on the Stone We shared all the appetizers and enjoyed each one. The waitress recommended the duck confit and it was actually pretty tasty. It was cooked just right not tough or rubbery! The tuna was filling and sauces for the steak were tasty as well

Nice Japanese restaurant in Cranford. I had sushi that was very delicious and portion was substantial. My husband has Ishiyaki Steak, that looked great (I don?t eat meat) Desert selection is big and every one of the sound so yummy. I had Pannacotta, itwas one of the best panna cotta I ever had. A great addition to the Union county.
Came here on a Friday night with friends, the place was busy but we had made reservations ahead so we got seated right away. The sashimi and all the different bowls we ordered were really fresh and delicious. The service was good but it was really busy. Itis also BYOB.
very tasty. I really like the environment of this place, there are many great witwen make people feel comfortable. also eating is amazing! the sushi is the best to choose there are hundreds of species sushi for them. I will come back
Small quaint restaurant serving fusion food. I would recommend the entrees over the sushi options. The dumplings for appetizers were meh, would probably not get again

I had a great experience at this restaurant for my birthday dinner. The food was delicious, and my favorite dish was the uni. I will definitely be returning!
Cute place. Beautifully plated food. Came here in a quiet afternoon. I can't say I enjoyed every dish but that's more of a personal taste.
