Washington Inn is one of our favorite restaurants and we usually visit 1-2x per year. It was good but both my husband and I felt it wasn’t as good as it used to be. The wine bar was jammed and hard to find a spot and stay out of the servers’ way. Once seated on the porch by request it was quiet and comfortable and our server, Rachel, was fantastic and attentive as always. The food was good with the steak tartare a standout but our other go-to dishes weren’t as delicious as usual. Lamb in cavatelli was dry chunks instead of the tender shreddings that it used to be. We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at the Washington Inn. I had the gnocchi which was fabulous! I ate every bite and it was pure joy! My husband had the short ribs and said it was excellent. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend!

Is not the first time that my wife and I have visited this establishment so I’m a local and I’m blessed to have numerous fine dining in my area, but my flagship has always been and always will be the Washington Inn..

Excellent as usual. Friendly staff, very attentive. We were on the wine porch. Wonderful experience! My favorite place in Cape May.
