If I could give a zero, I would, but unfortunate 1 star is the lowest on Google.I want to share my family terrible experience on Saturday. We've been to this place few times and few times ordered for a take out, so when I came in to place an order for a takeout, I didn't even think that I have to check my order when it was ready for me. So I left with what I was assuming two rolls and a fried tofu plate. When at home I opened the bag, there were two rolls and three very sad and not so fresh pieces of tofu, with no side veggies or rice. My daughter was so disappointed, because it used to be her favorite dish there.I paid $57 for two rolls and two small steam rice, and what I assumed was a tof...

I stopped by Washoku for lunch last summer, I could have sworn I had done a review, I guess I forgot to.I went with the Gyoza, salmon and avocado sushi and a chicken teriyaki. The Gyoza was deep fried which is not good, I’m guessing it’s a regional thing in Japan where some areas deep fry their Gyoza and don’t pan fry like I am used to.Deep fried Gyoza are not better, its worse, whatever war is being fought in Japan over Deep-frying VS Pan frying, its over, just pan fry it and move on.Also at $10 for 5 pieces of gyoza? Overpriced at $2 a gyoza. The Salmon and avocado sushi was nice, it was 6 pieces and I enjoyed it, $10, this seemed fair. The Chicken Teriyaki was $22 and not something id want t...

We were close in the area when I had a craving for sushi.. after a quick google search this place came up with great reviews and decided to walk in. We were greeted right away, had to wait a few mins for a table but we’re put in one of the rooms: I’m always afraid of out of sight, out of mind.. but we were looked after! Also if they offer you complimentary miso soup, get it! It was warm yummy! I’m more of a traditional sushi gal, I don’t care much for fancy rolls, so what I ordered was negitoro maki, salmon maki, dynamite California rolls.. everything was fresh, rolled tight pretty wasabi flowers. Yummm! We will return!

Update: After looking at reviews and learning there was a change in ownership I was a bit concerned coming for lunch as the previous experiences were always excellent.Stopped by for lunch and was surprised at how empty the place was. Only 2/3 other tables were occupied. The food was alright, a bit different from past experiences. Service was practically non-existent. Probably will go to Mikado more often.Food was excellent. Service was great too. Only managed to take a picture of the dessert. ?

I was here on Saturday and ordered a couple dishes for takeout. The suishi that I got was very good. I ate it all. I will come back in the future. The guy there was very nice to me. I have visited some of the other restaurants on 124 street and when I walk in I can tell their judging me. If anyone is reading and you ever see my face. I have a face of of evil person, I have a really mean looking face, but yeah the dude there was very nice to me.

Vegan sushi is pretty limited in Edmonton but Washoku has a few options including a grilled veggie sushi. The menu is clearly marked with the vegan items, including the yam yam rolls. The waitress told us all their tempura is vegan, not just the yam. I suggest you double check about the tempura before ordering because the menu shows it as vegetarian. We took her word on the tempura and it was oily but really good.

Finally came here! Been wanting to for a long time. We originally planned on going to Watari. The food here was really good! The server was nice and the atmosphere was lacking. Another Japanese restaurant playing Western pop music. :/Other then that it was a fun time but we quickly ran up the pill ordering more sushi.

Washoku is decent sushi place. Their service was quite good and quick. Food was delicious but I not taste the spice of wasabi. It was not spicy at all …. I should have ask the staff but I need to go somewhere so we want to be quick. But overall I am happy with my meal.
