we are here several times and have always enjoyed eating. the team is very nice and not clear and eating on this visit was excellent. we tried the high tea, which consists of a main course, followed by a selection of cake, skorn with jam and saw, and a tee or coffee. as they might expect, the menu is pretensioned in direction fish dishes, but there are different other options. I can personally recommend the smoked haddock timble and the fish pie if seafood is their ding. we have not finished all the cakes, just as we were full, so according to my opinion there is no problem with portions. a thing is that the restaurant is always a bit cold (at least for my pleasure), so they wear a pullover.
We stayed here for two nights in November and had the best time the room was spacious and seemed newly decorated. Beds were some of the comfiest we've ever come across in a hotel. Loved having both bath and shower. Location couldn't be better. Breakfast is delicious (between us we tried the full Scottish, avocado toast, waffles with bacon, smoked haddock). We also really enjoyed our dinner (haggis stuffed chicken, smoked haddock lasagne). Staff were lovely. Would go back in a heartbeat.
I eat at the restaurant regularly. The food is always excellent, and the service always friendly, different dishes served to the table at the same time, you’re not sat with some food going cold while waiting for other dishes to be served. The prices are also excellent. Lots of little things that add to make a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. Walkability: Good location. Hotel highlights: Great value

absolutely fabulous eating and very reasonable prices. three of us ate in the restaurant and all had different dishes (start and head). we all loved our decisions. the personal was also brilliant. in any case recommend.
