Was to pick up order between 7 and 7:10 pm on Sunday. Wasn't ready until 7:25 which really wasn't a big deal. When I got home and we went to eat, everything was rock hard and we couldn't bite into it. It was too late to call back because they close at 8:00 pm. Called back today Tuesday, as they are closed on Mondays and they wouldn't take responsibility for their overcooked food. Egg rolls, breaded shrimp, lemon chicken, chicken balls were dark brown and hard, not golden like the pictures. They told me the most they could do if I brought it back was to give me a $15 refund out of a $67 order that is going into the garbage. One of the best places around. We decided to try it as it had good reviews. They did not disappoint. Very fresh, cooked to perfection. It did not taste like it had been kept under a warming light, waiting for orders to come in. Tastes like it was freshly made for us. The chicken balls actually had chicken in it, not all batter. The beef was a good quality cut. Not 100% sure but there egg rolls had a different taste to them, I think they make them in shop. Could be wrong, they were very good. This place puts all other Chinese places in Peterborough to shame. This is the quality they should aim to reach. When ordering keep in mind they are only take out. The menu looked promising, but turned out to be really not very good at all. Egg rolls were mediocre at best, the spring rolls were the worst I’ve ever had. Had the Cantonese Chow Mein, it was tolerable but that’s being generous. Next time I called and asked “What’s the thing you’re best at, the specialty of the house?” and sadly they couldn’t answer the question, and in the end fobbed me off with a truly inferior dinner for one that made me swear never to bother with them again.

Excellent food. We are from out of town and ordered from here Saturday night. It was the best Chinese food we had in Canada . The portions were big and they didn't skimp on ingredients. We ordered a lo mein noodles with beef and there was so much beef in the dish the same when it came to beef with broccoli very fresh ingredients). All the dishes were great and very large portions. We were very disappointed after reading the reviews. The coating on the chicken balls was rock hard (tossed them out), the egg rolls were small and light on bean sprouts. The fried rice had a burned taste. Hot and sour soup and chicken chow mein was average. The sweet and sour pork was good and their sweet and sour sauce is tasty. This was delivery. Dragon Yan is far superior.

I had the chicken fried rice,sweet and sour chicken balls and honey garlic ribs.The best chicken fried rice EVER!!!!! I have eaten tons of Chinese food in my lifetime,but this takes the cake.

Wee Wok has the best Chinese take out in Peterborough, hands down In fact, they will ruin you for all the other places in town.
