we visited the restaurant hahnenhof after a tipp from our hotel. first, when we arrived in the restaurant, it did not seem very welcoming, a bit dark (no big window, no opportunity to look inside). a bit like old restaurants in Germany....There was a menu next to the entrance. the prices and the menu were very reasonable, not expensive. So we decided to try. when we came to the restaurant (on Sunday night at 17h), we saw that most tables were still empty, but many of them had a reserved sign on it. that looked promising! we have not made a reservation, but the helpful owner has managed to find a place for the four of us in the back of the restaurant. the interior of the restaurant did not se...

a delightful mainzer restaurant that we visited on a Sunday evening. we had a chicken dish with crumbles that were baked under the skin, with a gurkensalat with kartoffels, pork roasts with kartoffels and pork swamps with green beans packed in speck and kartoffels. a wonderful...nearance non-chain restaurant with a friendly staff-even if we abandoned our order because of our lack of German-speaking skills. they were great to deal with our gluten allergies and eating was cumbersome.
