Weisse Lilie - Reservar una mesa

At 40, I have certain standards I expect from a decent restaurant, unfortunately Weiße Lilie fell woefully short. Upon entering the restaurant, rather than being greeted, I was initially stared at, then pointedly ignored. I searched alone for my friend and we were both ignored for a long while at our table. After having my chair repeatedly kicked by the waitress each time she passed us, I eventually asked for a small 0,1l red wine "as i was driving" - the waitress' response was "if you're driving I'm not serving you any wine at all as we will be held responsible if you crash". I then told her I've decided to get a cab and the wine arrived. The fish cakes & datilles were ok but the paella was mushy & unpleasant, as were the rock hard chorizos. The decor & story behind this place is interesting but the arrogance and presumption of righteousness was over the top and a total buzz kill. I'm confident there are many other places to spend a more pleasant evening.

Every time I stay in Frankfurt I go to the Lilie at least once. The menus are all hand written and because I am not good at reading German they have an English one, how good is that! Food is always good so it can get full up, best to phone and book a table if you want to eat. Food is always good and very good value for money.

We are "regulars" here and have never been disappointed. Freshly prepared tapas, great white bread basket and good beer. Selection is excellent and there is a daily specials board. Importantly, take cash as all kinds of cards are not taken here and the ATM is 1km away.

If you re looking for Tapas and good wine, then you re right on the spot with this Restaurant. Although you can get also good fish and some german food, the Tapas should be the reason you go there. Not really cheap though, but worthwile.

In this place you will enjoy very delicious food in a rustikal atmosphere. Tapas is amazing, everything I have tasted so far was amazing! Thanks for keeping the quality and prices on a very good level!
