We queued to place our order, only to be rudely informed that the restaurant does not allow walk-ups at the pick-up window. I pointed out there was no sign indicating this policy, and asked if an exception could be made, given that we had no food options available at the hotel. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Wendy’s! The only reason I gave it two stars is that they got my order correct. The dining area was supposed to be open—one of the employees on break even mentioned it—but they also said it wasn't open because of a coworker's attitude. I thought nothing of it at first, but once we went through the drive-thru, it became quite clear. The person taking our order was extremely rude. When I asked her to repeat what she said, she yelled at me and repeated it in an unfriendly tone, adding, “What, can’t you hear me?” After every item we wanted to add, she would ask, “Are you going to add anything else?” with a lot of attitude. An employee eventually admitted that she had missed some orders, which explained the long wait for so many people. To make things worse, they ran out of bottled water. When I requested a refund, the staff didn’t bother to call a manager and just kept serving customers. I had to personally get the manager’s attention. I was relieved to leave because the whole experience was frustrating, mainly due to the cashier’s lack of urgency and the excessive wait time. The food is usually good, but this visit was quite disappointing. I wish I had noted names, but I just wanted to get out of there.
I've eaten here multiple times over the past few years, with about six months between each visit, always hoping that it would improve. Unfortunately, this has historically been one of the slowest fast food spots in Charleston, at least in my experience. Today, the soda was flat and the ice machine was broken. There were over ten people in front of me waiting for their orders. The fries were cold, and I had to ask several times for sauce for my nuggets. If it weren't for the tourists, I doubt this place would still be in business. I won't miss it.

When I moved on to the burger, I was disappointed to find that it only had ketchup, mayo, one tomato, and two pickles—on a triple patty burger! There were no onions or lettuce, which made the burger really bland, especially considering the thickness of the patties. Toppings are essential, and I didn’t get the ones that were supposed to be included. On top of that, I didn’t receive a receipt, so I can’t even share my feedback with corporate since I don’t have the restaurant number. I’m starting to think this might be intentional.
My daughter and I visited this restaurant, as we often do, because we appreciate its cleanliness and good service. Unfortunately, this will likely be our last visit. My daughter found a piece of plastic in her hamburger. I brought it to the manager’s attention, but all I got in response was a mumble about where it came from, and then he went back to what he was doing. It was quite disrespectful and reflects poorly on the business in many ways.
The food was served hot and looked appetizing. However, this is the second time in a row that our order has been incorrect. They missed part of our order, which we had to resolve at the pickup window. It would be beneficial if they repeated the order back to us and provided a total at the speaker, as this could allow for corrections before customers reach the window.
The drive-thru was my only option, and surprisingly, it wasn’t busy at all. I asked if the dining area was open, but, as expected, it was closed. So, I decided to go elsewhere. I asked for my food to be made fresh, but the drive-thru employee seemed annoyed by the request. They did wish me a nice day, but I truly hope the overall service improves.

The food was excellent! The sandwich was a little messy due to the generous amount of mayo and ketchup, and the tomato was slightly soggy. Still, it tasted great. I also noticed that Wendy's fries have gotten much better compared to before.
