A friend recommended West Street Cafe. They seemed to be understaffed and the service was not as fast as other Bar Harbor restaurants that we patronized. The restaurant's kind of not Frills. It can sit many people than the tables for 4 and 6 people, with some larger seats. Don't expect the decor to wear you. We had the Clam Chowder, a lobster dinner, linguine with lobster and the blue berry cake! Everything was so good! I'll just have the Linguine back and it's easy to rival any Italian restaurant dish. Prices were appropriate for restaurants in the area. Glad West Street Cafe was recommended to us! Will be back.
Great service (friendly, helpful, fast). The Clam Chowder was Bland, but the filled mushrooms were better than expected (tonnes of seafood filling, well seasoned). My partner said the crab patty was good (Bioche bung was beautiful, good taste and texture of the actual patty). Nice atmosphere, nice restaurant, clean toilets. Very cheap prices for a main street in Bar Harbor.
Fabulous restaurant that is crisp and clean, light and airy with breathtaking ocean views. The decor was modern and fresh. We ordered the whole lobster and it was truly delicious. The meal came with clam chowder, 2 other sides and dessert too. The blueberry pie was wonderful. Service was polite, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit tremendously.
Just waited about 15 minutes and it was crowded. Great service, the food was delicious. Best Lobster Bisque and the chicken parm were crispy outside, delicate inside. They even understated Pommes for Pasta. Blueberry cake with ice is a MUST. Absolutely a great place to eat and prices in accordance with other restaurants in the area.
