This is the 4th Sunday I have gone to Whole Foods in Newtown Square and have waited a good 10 minutes in line at register (not express line). They had 2 registers open for customers that had their shopping carts full. Hence the amount of time for each customer checking out takes longer. There were 4 people in front of me with full carts and the lines had 6 people in each and standing 6 feet apart we ended up at back of store waiting. Absolutely ridiculous. So disappointed in this Whole Foods in last 6 months. Customer service was no help . Going to go to Moms Organic from now on in Rosemont, at least they monitor the lines.
On a Thursday morning, I found that most of the registers were closed, leaving only two open for full carts (not express). Customers at those registers formed a line that stretched halfway down the merchandise aisles. Is this what you call customer service? Before Amazon’s acquisition, Whole Foods was known for its fast and friendly checkout process in the Delaware Valley, and we rarely encountered long wait times. We could simply approach any available register, of which there were plenty. If there aren’t enough checkout clerks, why not install self-checkout stations to help reduce the long lines for customers?
Went yesterday and once again the shelves were mostly empty. Not sure if all of the Whole Foods in the area are in a similar situation. The store only had a handful of customers which was good for social distancing purposes but little left to buy. I ended up having to go to the Giant down the street and that store was very well stocked, including most of the packaged organic products that I like. No need to go back to this Whole Foods until I am sure they have product. I will say kudos to Whole Foods from their ample social distancing signage. I saw many employees sanitizing carts and fixtures while I was there.
While the selection is limited, the coffee was excellent and the service was outstanding. It’s definitely better than some of the standalone options nearby. There is plenty of seating available for large groups or for those working on their laptops while enjoying coffee or a hot meal from Whole Foods. The café is somewhat tucked away inside Whole Foods, located at the far end past the wine section.

I recently went to this Whole Foods for pecan raisin bread. The price was $8 for a loaf and if that wasn’t bad enough but you must “diy” if you want it sliced? The grocery clerk insisted it was “so easy”. Are you seriously asking me to use your commercial slicer with no experience? How bad must corporate customer service become at these stores?
I visited this restaurant once and found the coffee to be decent. However, I returned four more times on various days and at different times, only to find it consistently closed. It would be helpful if they had a sign indicating when they will reopen or if they have someone covering during their hours.
I bought twice strawberry in Whole Foods newtown Square, one time the strawberry was mold, this time the strawberry like air drying stone!! The quality is very poor!
Love stopping by to sample a fine range of craft beer on tap. Aubrey is VERY knowledgable. A local brewery should track her down. She’d be a real asset.

the hot bar was actually disgusting. food looked dried out and was super cold. unsure how long it was out. will never eat from it again.
Wholefoods is Awesome! Great place to shop or hangout in the pub area. It has live music often. Beer on tape, 5-6 tvs and food.
