Where The Buffalo Roam Saloon

I am not a chef, so I may be mistaken, but I do not believe it should take over an hour to prepare a steak. During our visit, we were not checked on once in that hour, while we watched two other groups come in, order, eat, pay, and leave before we received our food. Although the food may be good, we did not have the opportunity to try it as we only paid for our drinks and left. It is unclear why this happened - perhaps because we are a younger couple or simply a mistake. With so many other great restaurants in the area, I would not recommend taking the risk of dining here.

One of us ordered the steak frites, but the waitress did not inquire about how we wanted it cooked. When we requested it to be rare, she hesitated and mentioned it may not be possible with this cut of meat, which was confusing. Overall, her attitude was unwelcoming. I felt judged and uncomfortable when asking for anything, which is unacceptable from a server. In conclusion, the restaurant is charming and ideal for enjoying cocktails, but do not expect exceptional service.

So glad we stopped in for dinner. Their menu is family style with reasonable portions meant to share. Each dish was utterly amazing filled with rich flavors, savory cream sauce, greasy veggies, and the cold local beer topped it off. Just to put a cherry on top you are surrounded by insane views! Loved everything about their menu and hope we can make it back this week to try something else!

Best cocktails in Canmore by far. We stopped in on a local recommendation for a quick cocktail, stayed for 2 and visited as often as we could during our week stay. Each one was well balanced and prepared with care. We ate dinner one night and the food matched the drinks. A definite foodie destination… just be aware that minors are only welcome before 6pm

Stopped in for an appetizer and couple of cocktails. WOW! Ample cocktail selections and some non-traditional appies. Had the street corn and the grilled Haloumi. The broth for the street corn was so damn good, they sent the chef out to disclose how its made. Mango balsamic vinegar from a local company is the secret ingredient. Great service too!

Such a cool vibe! Fabulous food with ingredient pairings that blew our minds our taste buds! You MUST try the duck wings...Heaven! The charred cabbage is smoky, sweet, and funky, in a good way, and the crispy chicken bao buns are delightful! Also, just order a vat of the duck wing sauce and put it on everything!

Burger cost was $35 Including 20% tip. Tomato’s we’re wilted ? and incomplete slices as if it was the last one.Tomato was the solid green core only.The patty is great…. But that’s not a $35 patty.$35 for a burger ? should include all quality vegetables.Unfortunately I can’t justify this again

We had a great time at this restaurant enjoying some craft drinks. The hostess, who had a pretty black, curly hair and an Australian accent, did a fantastic job making us feel welcome. She served us some delicious drinks and we had a blast. We regret not having dinner there!

Stopped in just for a water and ended up staying for one of the best dark and stormy’s I’ve ever had. The staff is incredible and kind, the décor beautiful, and the drinks a work of art. I will definitely be back to try the food menu my next trip through.

Brought my dogs here and had literally the best short rib pasta of my life! Amazing after a big hike by beautiful mountains!
