Whiskey In The Jar

As usual, we arrived early in the morning and were among the first to show up. We kicked things off with some Polish beer and a few shots. To my surprise, one of the band members was someone I went to high school with, and I even knew his sister, which made for a fun reunion! The venue had a large tent for the band, and they had set up both bathrooms for women while providing a Porta Potty for men. They cleared out all the furniture, creating more space for dancing. We got into some Polka music and had an absolutely great time! It was a fantastic way to start the day!

This hidden gem was the highlight of our trip! It was our first visit to Detroit as Canadians since Covid, and we couldn't have picked a better place for our one-night stay! Mike, our bartender, was amazing, and we were lucky enough to meet the owner and her fiancé, who came to our rescue when we needed help. (Thanks again for the ride!) Although it's a favorite spot for many locals, they made us feel incredibly welcome. Cheers to you all—We’ll definitely be back!

I was first customer of the day. I had a plan to bounce around to local bars and abandoned that plan once I sat down at Whiskey in the Jar. Very friendly and fun regulars. The bartender Kate from NYC was a pleasure to meet. I will visit this place again next time. Don't believe the weirdos on here hating on this place. Five star!

This is one of the best dive bars in metro Detroit. It's friendly, affordable, and welcoming to everyone. First-timers are offered a shot of Jezy, which is a delightful Polish liquor. The patio in the back is fantastic, and patrons often select great music on the jukebox. Overall, I highly recommend it! Reserva una mesa ahora

Whiskey in Jar is a local dive bar that you simply can't miss, especially on Paczki Day. The atmosphere is fantastic, the crowd is lively, and the live bands are top-notch right from the start. Treat yourself and check it out! 5/5!

First time Alert!!! First Blayd is the Best!!! He was great and very informative!! The atmosphere was home and chill.. the drinks were Grand will definitely be back.. if you are in area Absolutely stop by!!!

I love the friendly staff, the lounge is small and picturesque and very comfortable. I love the variety of music at night and the drinks specialties are right!!

It's certainly a hidden gem, but the bartender, Mike, was amazing, and they also have a pool table!
