My husband and I have been here twice now with our kiddo in tow. Lots of different types of mead to try which is fun. And the food offerings, while a bit limited, are pretty tasty for what they are and pair well with the mead. Kiddo enjoyed the paninis also. We love that it's dog friendly as well! One suggestion to the owner would be to add a bike rack. The meadery is in sort of an odd location, but is just off the bike trail, which is a big reason why we stopped there in the first place. But there really isn't a great place to lock your bike up once you get there. Also, some wooden paneling or something similar on the walls would go a long way towards creating a more classic mead hall/vikin...
Great atmosphere. Mead is great! Their menu offers gluten free pizza (heggies frozen) and on the phone they said they have pans and utensils just for gluten free. However watching them unload the pizza, their gluten free pans are mesh! So not protected at all from cross contamination. If I were alone I would have returned it. However my wife was hungry so she could eat it. This was a major disappointment. The mead however was amazing. The selection of meads was great. The atmosphere was also very cool. If you aren 't Celiac this is a great place. If you are a celiac, make sure to eat before coming here.
We visited the White Bear Meadery on a quiet Sunday afternoon. There were a few tables of people and a positive energy in the spacious room. The Meadery is full of various Viking decor with fur lined benches and a lovely fireplace on one end. The staff was knowledgeable and offered expert recommendations regarding which meads to try from their extensive list. My favorite was the clean and crisp Freya (Basswood honey, minty and herbaceous). I also enjoyed the Honeycrisp Apple and the Ravn (bold cucumber and tart lime)!
A friend of mine scheduled a birthday party on the night they were closed. Something went wrong with the online transaction and the owner was there and did'nt know we were coming. Instead of turning us away, he put on his apron and opened the place just for our group. Im sure he was looking forward to a night off but instead served us. The Mead was top notch, strongly recommend #7 **** Beard! Will be coming back.

Great selection of mead flavors! Great atmosphere (if you're into Viking stuff...and even if you're not)! It does get busy on trivia night (usually Wednesday), but it is actually a nice, fairly quiet place to enjoy a drink or two or as many as you'd like. Plenty of tablespace to just be, converese, or play board or even RPG games.
Great meadery! Sooo many options and very reasonably priced and amazing atmosphere! Would highly recommend if in the area or out for a party or celebration! The staff were very friendly and facility very open, themed and clean. Will be back!!
The place is great, the mead is delicious and the games are fun and entertaining. The only critique i would have would be warmer indoor lighting, it kinda felt like a school classroom with the bright with lighting.
We stopped here for pizza and tasting. The service was outstanding, The mead was excellent, the food was good as well. We will definitely stop by again if we are in the area!

We always make time to visit White Bear Meadery when we are in town. The new place looks great! Always a fun time.
