White Bear Public House

I forgot to write this review when we visited in April. Since then, I've gone back to The White Bear twice and I can confidently say I've never had a bad meal. Their sandwich and soup menu for lunch is fantastic. Last time, I tried the steak sandwich, and it was really delicious. Most recently, I went for a Sunday dinner and the chicken kebab I had was one of the best I've ever tasted. Skip the pretentious spots in Epworth and come here for some truly nice food.

Exceptional service here—possibly the best in Epworth. For me, that's the key difference: you always feel welcomed. The menu is excellent and showcases more creative dishes than many other places on the island; I encourage you to give it a try. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. It would be great to see an improvement in vegetarian options. Overall, it's a reliable spot worth visiting.

Just gets better….. been eating here for many years and the quality of the meals and service just keeps on getting better. Arguably there are cheaper local places to go to but it’s all down to great staff,quality and quantity and that’s where the Bear...wins hands down.

Perfect birthday lunch great menu and love that they have a good selection of non alcoholic drinks I would highly recommend the elderflower cooler and continental platter, friendly helpful staff, lovely relaxed outdoor space. Reserva una mesa ahora

What a fantastic night at the white bear. The staff are just fantastic. Special mentions to Lucy,hannah and Pauline. A very rare treat when the whole family can be together. Beautiful meals that never let you down.

our second visit and can recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent quality cooked food. absolutely every penny worth eating everything is amazing with friendly attentive service. well done!

The lunch menu was fantastic, and the food was excellent. However, the main menu was a bit pricey. The interior is nice, and I would definitely visit again. It's also dog-friendly!

Went here on our first night on holiday, had a chilled out drink with some sharing platters to nibble on , staff were really nice and chatted away with you . Would go back Reserva una mesa ahora

Good food but very overpriced and very limited wine menu of 3 whites and 2 reds! I've never paid £30 for a stroganoff with sides!

Great Pub for food, or just a drink or two, always made to feel very welcome. Beer garden is good as well.
