Went to grab a quick lunch on the way to the airport. It has been a long time since I had a White Castle. The service at this one was bad even for fast food. The make person taking orders was really slow. It took him forever to enter the order from the customer in front of me. When he was done, he went to put down French fries. That took him another 5 minutes as he seems to be putting them 1X handful at a time instead of just pouring them into the basket like everywhere else. Finally, the cooking person took my order as he was STILL putting fries into the basket. Not even into the cooking oil yet!The food was what I remembered but now with habanero cheese, which was never available before.
As someone from the west coast, I visited this restaurant primarily because of its fame from the Harold and Kumar movie. When I arrived, there was a bit of an off-putting smell both outside and inside the restaurant. That said, the food definitely lived up to the hype after all these years of anticipation. I would have rated it a five-star experience, but the funky smell and outdated atmosphere held it back. On the bright side, the person who took our order and the kitchen staff were incredibly friendly. Great service, but the smell could use some improvement!
I previously had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, as my orders were often incorrect. However, tonight was a completely different story thanks to the fantastic customer service provided by Mr. Dave. The night shift staff was attentive and on top of their game. Mr. Dave took the time to listen patiently, correct any mistakes, and communicated effectively with his team. He truly makes a positive difference! I hope they promote him, whether he's new or not; he deserves it!
UnprofessionalNot only was the drive through person wearing stained clothes she completely got the order wrong.To add insult to injury she mixed my nephews sodas with the flavor she said was out Yuck!Since it was 45min away the manager was not helpful and said we could return to the store to replace the order.A refund should have been given!!!!!Fix it White Castle!Refund ! I worked in a white castle restaurant in hammond indiana in the 70s. I was always proud of how clean we kept the restaurant. it was a very strict place to work, but it was worth it. the restaurant radiated. I was shocked when I visited chicago in the visible dirt. edgar ingram would not have tolerated its restaurants as they do now.
I'm not sure what gives but they have a tendency of mixing in some vegan burgers to what, save time? Or are they doing that to cut corners? And this White Castle is the only White Castle that gives me partially cooked half chicken rings or chicken rings that are folded in half. WEIRD!
