I was really looking forward to coming here to eat. I had planned on going last night hn ut they were closed when I finished my work. So tonight my last dinner in Canada was the white elephant. It is a quick walk across the street from the best western airport inn and do NOT judge it from the looks of the hotel it is located in... This is a local jewel of a small family run restaurant. This trip i got the Spicy wide noodle beef level 3 spicy. I want to try the top level next time which is 4. Level 3 starts off like nothing then creeps up on you the more you chew.... then after the first helping is gone and you grab another plate full you notice your tongue is... not burning bit kinda warm an...

MY daughter invited me for thai food. I remembered she brought home before and i really liked the curry. Good thing we came just in time for table spot as soon, there is people waiting in line. I had a chance to look at the surrounding and its not appealing to me. IF my daughter wasnt with me, i would have difficulty trying to find the resturant. Tne place really needs a makeover. Its a small place but full of patrons. Decors look like a80's look.SInce there is only two of us, we just ordered chicken satay, coconut rice and chicken pananag curry. Good thing we did not order more as the portion of chicken panang is more than enough for us and we have some for take home. Its just Big portion f...

It has been 5 years since we have eaten here. The first time was not a good experience but we have been hearing from others how good the food is in this little restaurant so decided to try it again. The food in this very busy place is excellent and the staff is totally different now than it was 5 years ago. We had the Red Curry dish with Bamboo Shoots and Chicken (all white meat) as well as the Ginger Stir Fried dish with Prawns. They were both delicious. The Prawn dish came with a dozen large prawns. They still only take cash or debit and do not take reservations. It all went smoothly and efficiently. We did wait 1/2 an hour for a table but it was well worth it. Some people waited an hour an...

We have dined at While Elephant in Calgary in the past, latest being Spring, 2017 then yesterday. The meal we had in the spring was amazing with such intricate flavours and extremely fresh food. Yesterday, Aug 4th, 2017 we were so disappointed. The soup had curdled, and the chicken that was used in the soup was dry and tasted like it was freezer burnt or something. The Pad Thai was just a gome of rice noodles with the same chicken and very little of the creamy sauce that we had expected. The papaya salad had way overripe tomatoes in it and was certainly not what we had dined on previously. Usually this place is lined up out the door prior to opening but not on this visit. The restrauant was... Reserva una mesa ahora

My family of 4 people just arrive Calgary on today Aug 15. We are Thais. He have been in Vancouver for several days before coming to Calgary. We are a bit homesick. not to our homeland ,but to Thai food. Fortunately, our friends who has stayed here for three years took us to this Thai restaurant. The restaurant is hidden in a hotel building. The appearance doesn't seem like a great restaurant. Anyway, we needn't wait long to taste their foods. We found that these were authentic Thai's. The ingredients were fresh and good quality . Besides, the price was very reasonable. We gave our compliments to the chef, then we learned that she was a former Thai nurse. That is why she know how to cook suc...

Read good reviews about this restaurant so we wanted to try. Came on a weekday dinner but it's quite busy. We were allowed to wait in the hotel lobby (it's situated in a hotel) and we were told 30-45 minutes wait but we waited only about 20 minutes. Service was okay, good food, big portions and priced well. We love the heat of the food, we tried their golden fried tofu, pad thai, spicy noodle, fish fillet with garlic sauce and stir fry.

Don't be deceived by how the place looks. And please be patient to be seated. We've waiting 40mins for our table (it was a Friday night not sure if its like that all the time) and we were thinking about going to a different restaurant but thankfully we've stayed! Food was absolutely amazing! Everything we've ordered was delicious! I think everyone's favorite would be the red curry and the coconut rice. Highly recommended!!

Do not let the location fool you as this is among the best restaurants in Calgary for Thai Food. We arrived and the line was out the door and not seating for 30 minutes. It is a small restaurant with very limited seating, so we order carry-out. Wow, was it good. Thirty minutes and we had our food. Some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Reserva una mesa ahora

Went for dinner with a friend after a business trip. Small place, with a slightly outdated flair but nothing beats the food. Tried the spring rolls, red curry with coconut rice....best I have had! Service is slightly slow but they cook the food fresh so it's worth the wait! Share yor plates or take the rest home.
