White Star Brunswick St

I went to White Star on Saturday at around 5:30 pm with my family. I am hard of hearing and my hearing issue was mocked by the staff member (male with beard) in an extremely rude manner. I explained to him my condition and he was very rude and spoke down to me. I never received an apology. Then after I gave them my phone number for the waitlist, no one ever called us. This is unacceptable. He literally shooed us away with his hand multiple times. I used to really enjoy going here but never again. Management needs step in and do something about this.

Awful hospitality! Complete racist and discrimination against Asians! Been sitting for 15’ and no one came to serve us! When I was complaining this to the waiter, he was unhappy and didn’t even apologize for the lack of attention to us. This was totally unacceptable. If you run a restaurant bar, you’d better make sure your staff are well-trained so they treat every race equally and you have enough staff to serve every customer even in peak times.

Great food, excellent cocktails, and a truly wonderful staff. Neighborhood staple, for sure. Edit: the spicy chicken parm sandwich on their special menu right now is delicious . But they hooked me with spicy ; alas, it was not. Still hella tasty. They might sell more if they drop 'spicy ' from the description, or kick the spice up and embrace it. Either way, yummy!

This place has good food/ cold beer and a rustic bar feel. I cannot recommend this place enough to people in the area. I recommend the burgers and poutine here. The poutine is really good and the burgers are huge. The wings were also classic and crispy. The restaurant is a little small so it can feel crowded during peak times but the food is worth it. Got a petty melt to go during dinner time. Maybe it's meant to be a treasure hunt to find the meat, had to dig into it to find a tiny bit in the center! Usually a fan of this place but this was disappointing.

best burger in downtown jc! staff is friendly and love it when they have the outdoor seating open. my go to for comfort and casual. also, love that they are accomdating to allergies

Love this local bar. Drinks, food, and vibes are great. Big shout out to my favorite bartender, Amber. You always know my order. Since she left it hasn’t quite been the same.

Ordered fish and chips although the batter was crispy on the fish, it was all batter and almost non existent fish. I can only rate this particular dish though Reserva una mesa ahora

I am begging, with every fiber of my being, please make the spicy chicken parm sandwich a permanent menu item. It's SO GOOD. PLEASE. Thank you.

Looking for Solid standard tasty fast American Bar food? I would definitely check them out! I really enjoyed my Fried Chicken Sandwich!
