Whitefire Grille & Spirits

Wow. This place was spectacular and we are picky foodie types. We were a party of six and were seated at a great dining room style table. The bar area is lovely (although we didn't sit there) with two-sided fireplace. We had great service--attentive without being cloying. They had a kids menu which pleased the 8 year old. The salmon was delicious--the lemon creme fraiche was subtle and delicious, and the grilled artichokes and crisp green beans were the perfect complement. My husband got the NY Strip medium rare, and it was perfectly cooked. The crab cakes were great, and the special short ribs fell off the bone. I was surprised that the place was so empty. I'm not sure what happened with the one star reviews but don't be put off. This place is elegant, good for groups with private booths and larger tables, but also suitable for date nights. We had an excellent meal with excellent service. Canfield is lucky to have such a place.

Great visit tonight for dinner before movie. Had delightful salad w citrus dressing as side w cod and fettucini Waitress Madison and Gretchen were fabulous and enjoyed that chef Brad and daughter Lilly came to our table.

Went here in hopes of a nice dinner. Everything we ordered was mediocre for a high price tag.
