Absolutely deplorable experience. Just before 9:30 pm this evening (Tuesday, April 2) I attempted to place a carry out call and was hung up on twice by the despicably rude female attendant who was handling the phones. To make matters more egregious, when I decided to drop in personally (I was in the vicinity already) I observed her and the male manager laughing uproariously about her decision to hang up on me needlessly. When I confronted the two of them, rather than admit to their fault or even explain away the misconduct with a lie, they instead chose to adopt a hostile stance and belligerently and caustically addressed me. Uptown Grille has been a place I frequent often when home the atmosphere and the food are always A1 this trip was no different, went during a busy Saturday night (lions where playing) unable to get a seat at the bar however they had the patio open. All of the food came out hot and fresh and delicious! They never disappoint with the portion sizes of everything they note shareable items but truthfully everything is shareable as the portion sizes are huge and you definitely getting what you pay for. I order the streak bites with sautéed onion, mushroom, and bell pepper with a side of rice pilaf. I just love the rice pilaf. It had carrots and peas and seasoned very well The steak was tender and full of flavor. I also ordered the firecracker shrimp and chicken. All delicious! I also had the home fries (which they give plenty of). They're nicely seasoned. My server was awesome. She was attentive, professional, and friendly. I went around 10:30 am and the restaurant had some people in there, but I was able to pick where I wanted to be seated. Eventually, though, more people started coming into the restaurant for this phenomenal food. The restaurant is very clean with a laidback atmosphere....

LOTS of food, and it stays open late. Our plane landed at 8:30. We were staying in West Bloomfield. We were hungry. Just about every place was closed. Thanks to yelp, we discovered the Uptown Grille. This place is huge and has an even huger parking lot. In keeping with that theme, the portion quantities are hugest of all. I ordered their Cobb salad, and it was too much for even me to finish. That's too bad because it tasted great, with plenty of bacon and avocado. My wife ordered nachos, expecting that my salad wouldn't be enough for me and we could share. Definitely going back! I had the steak bites with a side of rice pilaf. The steak was nice, tender, and flavorful. The rice pilaf was very good as well. The server was great. The restaurant is huge (and rightly so). The crowd was steady. The bathrooms are clean. The restaurant is clean and overall, I can see why this place huge. There are several things going on. As you enter, you've got a huge bar to the left and across the hall is a banquet room. Then, as you go further, you are greeted by a hostess and promptly seated. Good impression!

First time going here. What's all the hype about? Had the ribs, chicken, and shrimp. The ribs were tough, the shrimp was cold, the chicken wasn't good. The green beans tasted microwaved. A lot of people were there eating so they're doing something right- maybe they were there for the live entertainment, because the food wasn't good. Although the beer was good. Overall it was overpriced for the food. No, I don't recommend this place and won't be back- it's an overrated restaurant.

This is the chicken picatta. I did not really enjoy it. It didn't taste a normal chicken picatta or have its regular ingredients. It was super buttery and oily. The portion is huge for what the price is though. We went on a busy weekend which the waitress warned us it might take a while for our food to be served. Understandable. I've had other dishes from Uptown before which were delicious, I just didn't like this dish.

Fun bar vibes! Great locale. Quick and easy access. Huge parking lot. Super long bar. Tons of big screen TVs. Perfect game night spot. Open late. Fast friendly service. Expansive food menu. Tall strong drinks. Live music. Excellent date night choice. Cute covered event space. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, quick bites. All around good. Favorite menu item blackened mahi sandwich. I ate here today for the first time. My steak sandwich was ok. I would not order it again. I don't like it when the steak tastes gamey or spoiled. Also, for the price, there was not enough meat on the sandwich. However, my mother enjoyed her burger. My mashed potatoes were good. Next time, I'll try something else.

The food was amazing.We ordered the coconut shrimp as an appetizer and the sauce was sweet and spicy goodness.Ordered the detroit'r bc of the servers suggested and the sauce was great.Highly recommend the sweet potato wedges as well.
