Having lived around the corner from Wild Leek for a few years, I would describe myself as being cut from a different cloth than the typical customer that I would see when walking by I 'm a proud omnivore, and I lack any of the painfully stereotypical hipster/hippie accouterments. Except cynicism, but we 're talking purely fashion here. Wanting a breakfast that didn 't make me want to go right back to bed, I decided to try out my healthful neighbour. Returning to Wild Leek as we work our way through their breakfast menu this is Installment #2) we settled on the Breakfast Bowl for myself, and my partner had the Daily Benny. My Breakfast Bowl seitan bacon, roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms onions, kale, toasted sesame seeds, dragon sauce) was oh, so satisfying as a savory breakfast feast. The kale was tender and clearly steamed with care. I'm usually not one to seek out meat-type vegan replacement foods but I can tell you, I'm a fan of the seitan bacon! Tasty food and a really cute ambience. I got the portobello Reuben which had a distinct and strong flavor that really worked well taste wise. The whole shop is very cozy and it is a small store (only 7 tables , and it is decorated to almost feel like your hip bohemian friend's apartment (if that makes any sense??? . The only complaint I have is that while the service was nice and friendly, on my way out we had to wait about 10 minutes after asking for the check. It wasn't busy as there was only 2 other groups in the store but our server was clocking out and chatting with the incoming shift and others before he left. I'm sure it was an isolated event, but it did leave a sour taste in my mouth...

I really enjoyed this place. It's one of three (pretty sure they are three) exclusively vegan restaurants in the city. And, as with the other two, The food is great! The portions are decently big. My partner and I went for dinner before a show we had. We shared the dragon fries and the Donair with Kale salad and it was enough for a decent meal. The service staff were friendly and helpful with the menu. Side note, this doesn't really have the restaurant vibes I was expecting. It's small and cozy. Feels much more like a coffee shop with exceptional food. And you have to skirt the kitchen to get into the bathroom, which seems a bit weird to me, but the space is so small there isn't really any o...

We love the Leek ... Best of all we don't leave hungry. We come here often; the food is great, service friendly, and the kitchen staff are fast. Jordan D'arcy are amazing friendly efficient. Some concerns would be lack of staffing peek hours. Also because this space is so small the noise level is too high. It would be quieter if the juice smoothie bar were in a bigger space, away from customers. I also find the bathroom placement very weird too close to the kitchen. Maybe just me but I'm always concerned about cleanliness. For the volume of business, it would be more comfortable in a larger space. However this will not stop me from being a loyal customer ... Love the food ...

This was my first meal during my recent trip to Halifax, and I have to admit, I'm a huge fan of Halifax donairs. Unfortunately, they're not available anywhere close to where I live, and you might not even be able to find them outside of Halifax. So when I spotted the Donair Wrap on the menu, I had to try it. Since this is a vegan restaurant, it was made with seitan, which was expertly cooked to achieve the perfect crispy grilled texture. I can honestly say it was my favorite donair of the entire trip, whether vegan or not (and I tried quite a few!). The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the service was very friendly. I highly recommend it!

The food here is absolutely delicious! While it's not vegan, I would certainly eat like this every day if I could. I always order a bowl of some kind, and I highly recommend adding extra dragon sauce. Don't forget to try their amazing brownie too! The service is decent, but the food is the main reason to visit. One downside is that I have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restrooms, which is a bit awkward. Nevertheless, the food makes it all worthwhile!

I'm truly upset with this establishment. The food was so good that I gorged myself! Got the ultimate and donair wraps along with Caesar salad and fries. It was split between myself and my wife. The cheese on the sauce and the Caesar salad dressing is on another level. This will be my first stop whenever I'm in Halifax.

The baked goods are often quite good, but the restaurant's food tends to lack flavor. The staff is friendly, and everything is usually prepared quickly. I wouldn't recommend dining in with a group, but it's a great place to grab a quick treat.

OMG, this is my new favourite restaurant in Halifax!!!! The food was absolutely amazing and the meal was HUGE!!!! If i could give it 6 stars, i would. Took pic with a soda can for perspective.
