Wildpark-Restaurant Schwarze Berge

Growing up nearby, all I remember is the Wildpark, and the Wolves. I never knew that there was a restaurant, until my siblings took me there for dinner. What a great place to eat. We came on a Friday for the Bratkartoffel buffet, and if you are like me, missing good German food, this was the equivalent of paradise on earth. Bratkartoffel to your desire, plus all the trimmings, I missed the kitchen sink though ;). The buffet had just about everything your could desire for dinner. Besides the Bratkartoffel (home-fries) there was salad, Herring, German cold cuts, including my fav "Suelze" (Head cheese), plus plenty of meat (hot carving board too). Bratkartoffel to your desire, plus all the circumcisions, I missed the sink though; . The buffet had everything you could wish for dinner. In addition to the Bratkartoffel (Head cheese), there were salad, herring, German cold cuts, including my fav suelze (Head cheese, plus lots of meat (hot carving board also). The waiting staff was very friendly and attentive, the drinks came in record time...

We've blown up here three times and it's never a disappointment. We had reserved a table (as we were 9) and found the waitress very friendly, the buffet brunch a joy and the whole thing prepared us nicely for our visit to the Wildpark itself.

We were lucky it didn't rain when we spent the day in the park. We followed the route on the map and had a lot of fun watching and feeding all animals. A bit disappointing that you had to pay extra for the train ride, but we still enjoyed it.

We only had a snack to get our free coffee with the ticket. Unfortunately, the coffee was only from a pot, but the strudel was on it!
