I had heard that new ownership had taken over so we decided to give this place another try after several previous sub part experiences. As with all my reviews I will giving an honest recap of the dining experience and note any variables that may have contributed to lower than expected service. Let's begin...First thing we were greeted with upon opening the door was the smell of weed. This smell continued into the dining room where we sat to eat. It eventually went away or we just got used to it. (Could have come from a group of patrons but still, not what you want to smell when you first enter a family restaurant.)Sat for a few minutes until a waitress delivered menus and took our drink order. Waited a little until another waitress came to take our food order; no drinks yet. Second waitress noticed we didn't have drinks and brought them; asked about our basket of rolls and hush puppies. Rolls arrived andooked liked they came out of bag (nothing wrong with that) and were flatter than a slice of bread. Hush puppies were OK.Food arrived and gravy was missing from my pork chops and no sour cream for guest's baked potato, informed the waitress and she corrected both. Second basket did not contain squished rolls either.Pork chops were good, kinda thin but tasty. String beans were OK, but the mashed potatoes were bland, only flavor came from the requested gravy (salt and paper on the table fixed this). Rest of my party had no complaints about there meals, expect needing some additional seasoning. The decor is unchanged from previous, serviceable but not really welcoming. Observed several tables being cleared of dishes but then being left uncleaned the entire time were there (approximately 1 hour) , added to the unwelcoming vibe because it felt kinda dirty. Since you seat yourself here, who wants to sit at dirty tables? Finally it took forever for us to get the bill so we could leave, they did bring us the to-go boxes promptly when asked tho. It also looked like they were having issues at the checkout counter with the credit card machine. A third waitress brought us the bill and ran it in the back to save us some time.Staff was very friendly and corrected issues promptly, huge improvement here from previous owners. I did note that there only appeared to be 2-3 waitresses covering over 25 tables, this was taken into account with service times and they did pretty good.To Summarize: Not Too BadPlace is still probably finding it's footing with the new menu and staff. Give this place a few more months to streamline and it might be a great lace to eat. Probably come back and again after a few more months. Grade=C
