The waitress was beyond horrible. We got there around 7 and the restaurant closes at 9 but all she could grumble was about how many customers come in so close to closing time and how she would need to sleep there tonight because of the work load.To the owner if you have staff like this who literally shoo away customers your diner is gonna go belly up in some time. Just incase the lady doesn’t realize customers are what pays her salary.The food was average at the best but it was tiresome to sit there and listen to this lady grumble all the time.
here stopped for breakfast, only breakfast place open on Saturday 8 o'clock. hexe, I couldn't believe, but it's true. so wimpy has my business. the staff was great and welcoming, my breakfast was amazing and came fast. the only reason I didn't give a five star is that the building really shows signs of neglect and really should get a facelift. even if they just fixed the ceiling tiles in the dinning room. I think a little work will go a long way.
I've eaten more often here, but covid stopped it for a bit. I was disappointed when I was just leaving. the carrots (which were usually my favorite) were too salty and the place was not clean. the server were fabulous although they always seem to work big people there. Hopefully I can change my review if I go back there.
We have dined at Wimpey's for breakfast and lunch a number of times this year and have always been pleased with our meal, both in quality and quantity. Will always return. Note.. that we have eaten at three or four locations and all are equally good.

Cute diner with friendly staff, surprisingly good food and decent prices. A great quick stop from a nearby freeway if you want a break from driving and a bite to eat. Beats the rest stops offerings of fast food.
very fat, no taste. very expensive for what it is. $55 for two people. everything just tasted very bland. no seasonal work. could go for the same price next door and had handmade food not frozen bland fat food.
Very poor service. Sat for 10 min without even a hello...waited for drinks...waited 15 min to get our order taken. Food wait was long as well. No coffee refill. Pretty much worse service I ever had!
I love eating the prizes and friendly staff. I had French toast and maple syrup. the toast was good, but the sirup was horrible. it was maple flavored water. never order it again.

50's style diner decor. I usually like these independent, family-style places, but I had a very average tasting meal and service. Smelly washroom.
Ordered a chicken Caesar salad two weeks ago, had a cockroach grilled INTO my chicken. I wish I could add my photos. Will never eat here again.
