Winteringham Fields

£340 8 course taster for 2, could fit all the 'samples ' on one plate. The lamb rib was just a line of fat, the miniscule piece of Pidgeon was simply unchewable and not a pleasant experience, the small piece of fish was ok as was the bread, but overall, i am still reeling at the price. My grown up children paid for this as a birthday present, and, to be brutally honest, i would not have paid any more than £40 for the experience. The setting was exceptional, but having tasted dishes from all corners of the world, this was a real let down, but again, £340 plus service charge.........!!!!!!!!!!

This restaurant is truly outstanding and deserving of its stellar reputation. The dining experience is exactly what you would expect from a high quality tasting menu. Personal touches, such as meeting the chef before the meal, enhance the overall experience. Every course was exceptional and beautifully prepared. The wine pairing mainly consisted of white wines, which were all enjoyable but not particularly unique. The decor of the room may have felt a bit dated, but it was perfectly adequate. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth the price.

Fabulous room/suite with everything one could want. comfy bed and huge bathroom. In room coffee etc very nice and fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge. Staff were welcoming and check in so easy. The dinner was exceptional, every course delicious. They made a different canape for me to allow for allergies and there was nothing that I had to query on the menu. We had the breakfast with really good homemade jam, marmalade and curd. Was sad to leave.

Our party of four were really looking forward to the new imersive experience? Sadly there wasn’t any ….nothing different to other times we had been apart from the walk through the kitchen on route to our table ……we didn’t see any food prepared or cooked at anytime ?…..not so imersive but paid extra!!…..mentioned this at reception to be told that it was unfortunate we were sat to far away from the kitchen to see in?? Another outstanding evening at WF The open kitchen experience was phenomenal tell me that snacks in the open kitchen chatting with the Chef and the brigade isn't exciting Re connected with all the staff who are brilliant entertaining and on point for the whole time The accommodation is second to none fabulous as is everything about WF If you've not been it's a bucket list definite

Winteringham is a bit in the middle of nowhere next to village pub We stayed over which made the treat even better Tasting menu and wine paring Simply superb. If we had to pick a favourite it was hand dived scallops and trip through the kitchen Ended with Highland Park

Fantastic Michelin star food. Definitely deserves the star. Lovely being able to watch the activity in the kitchen. Lovely having Gareth, head chef, talk through one of the courses of the taster menu. Great overnight stay and staff were friendly and helpful.

The food and service at this restaurant were incredible! From meeting us with an umbrella at the car to the creative and delicious dishes, everything was top-notch. We were given a lovely table after a tour of the restaurant and a chat with the chef.
