2 reviews wrapped into one: 1; Tuesday tacos are the best, hands down. We will continue to be regular customers on Tuesday. 5/5 review. 2; Friday fish was below average. Fish was over cooked and chewy. It was a hot day and the AC couldn’t keep up. The tables were at capacity and the flies were relentlessly trying to share our dinner. Actually, it was just bad. We won’t try the Friday fish again because there are so many credible options in the area. 2/5 and that’s being generous. Overall, it’s a great place to have some brews and hang out. The food is consistently a 6/10, which although not great is decent. They have a daily special that makes it fun to go on different days. The service though is very bad depending on who you get. Some waitresses are wonderful and get everything quickly, but others are working at the bar as well which pulls them away too much. The restaurant can get very loud and busy depending on the time, but when it isn't as busy it is nice. The biggest problem is during the summer there are flies inside and all over everything because of people going in and out of the back door.
Woody 'z is one of those local joints where, if you live nearby, you 're likely to run into several friends or neighbors when you visit. It has a real hometown feel that the locals enjoy and support. The menu is somewhat limited but everything is tasty. There are specials nights like Taco Tuesday or Steak Saturday that are especially attractive, and it 's not spendy at all. No complaints about service, either. No frills, just friends and food. Food: 4
