I've been lucky to be able to photograph for 2 weddings at the Anglers Rest now and both times have been amazing. The guys are so accomadating and Agi is worth her weight in gold she's a superstar. Lovely venue, lovely staff and even better food highly recommended for any couple who wants that intimate and more personal alternative to the big hotels. I liked the food but I wasn't impressed with waiting for 20 minutes for drinks we had ordered with the meal. I had to ask 2 other people before we got them. The only then arrived with actual meal. So the 4 drinks took 20-25 minutes. The person who took our other obviously forgot!!! No marks for poor service, sorry. The vegetarian option was very very poor. My fish pie was very good as was the fish and chips.
I've had the pleasure of conducting several Humanist weddings in Wrights Anglers Rest. The staff are so warm helpful, not to mention the beautiful location. The ceremony room upstairs is the loveliest spot for a wedding. I really can't praise it highly enough. Instagram: Ruth Scott ceremonies
The food here is outstanding. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Not cheap but worth it. The preparation, presentation and quality of the ingredients is top class. Excellent service as well. One thing I would say is the seats are really uncomfortable. Reserva una mesa ahora
Had the most amazing chicken wings. They had the perfect amount of crunch and the sauce was amazing. The chips were adequately seasoned and the steak was beautifully juicy. Thank you all for blessing me with that feast.
