It is unfortunate that the staff at this cafe do not seem to value the importance of customer satisfaction. Everything was going well until the temperature inside the cafe dropped and a strong cold draft became noticeable. Despite the freezing -2 degrees Celsius weather outside, the staff decided to open the windows to cool the cafe down. I politely asked for the windows to be closed as it was becoming very uncomfortable, but was told that they were feeling hot so they would not be closed. I ended up having to put on a coat just to be able to finish my lunch. I requested once more for the windows to be closed, but was again refused due to the staff feeling too warm. Let's get this out of the way first. Despite what it says on the website, you can't get a takeaway pizza yet. They are applying for a licence, which might suggest newish owners. Anyway, on to the food. We went for tapas, and I like tapas, and this was better than a certain eponymous tapas restaurant named after a famous chef in Birmingham. The prices are keen, and the bacalao croquettas are probably the best I've eaten. Local hake with puy lentils was a stand out too, as was the duck breast. The friendly servers could not have been more charming. In the end, we were pleased that takeaway pizzas were off the menu.

We went on a night when they were serving their tapas menu the mussels in a cider and leek sauce were outstanding, along with the lamb rump in a black pepper sauce! The inviting ambiance and attentive staff, create a memorable dining experience. A visit to Coast promises a flavourful journey from start to finish making it the standout destination in Aberdyfi.

Visited Coast last night to celebrate my daughter’s birthday . A superb meal was had by everyone . Thoroughly recommend the seafood sharing board and also the rack of lamb . Very informal and friendly. Young enthusiastic staff with a start up vibe. Tasteful music from previous decades. Quick service despite being busy amazingly so considering dire autumn weather and quiet seafront. We had a seafood selection, not cheap but very fresh, mostly local and skillfully prepared.

Lovely little place to eat, great menu and nothing too much trouble. The staff are very friendly, and they welcome dogs. I called in every day of my holiday, sometimes just for coffee, sometimes for food. Thank you

We had a fantastic evening at Coast once again. The service was excellent and the food and wine were outstanding as usual. Coast is the best small restaurant in the area. Thank you, Team Coast!
