Always love Yamas!The food and service has always been really good there. My last visit wasn't quite up to par. The service was a little bit inattentive and the food wasn't quite as delicious as usual. But, I'm going to give them another chance. Every restaurant has an off day.Vegetarian options: Nobody at my table was vegetarian but at other tables I could see there were a few and they seem to be quite satisfied with their meals.Parking: The restaurant is right downtown so the parking is a bit of a bear. We haven't been back to Yamas in 3 years but it was just as we remembered it, incredible food and amazing service.Our server knew there was another large party being served. So when she saw my 1.5yr old toddler she offered to bring out rice for her right away so she could have something to eat while we waited. Thoughtful!While the food took longer than usual, we didn't notice at all because the server came frequently to refill our water and pop. When it finally came it was hot and delicious. Every time we wanted to eat something good we 'd say let’s order from yamas, but not anymore. The last time I called and ordered takeout, they didn’t have our order ready. When we got there they said we don 't have your order and they had to look through their junk papers to find our order, so they said you have to wait. I was upset but we waited till it got ready. When we took our food home, we saw that the lamb was so rare that I had to cook it again to make it edible, even though we like mid-rare this was still baa ing! So for those reasons, I gave the food 2 and the service 1 star.

First time visiting here and our family had an amazing experience. Staff were friendly and super nice. Most importantly the food was amazing. I’ve been to many Greek restaurants and this one is definitely one of the better quality restaurants I’ve been to. The roast lamb was just perfect as it just melted in your mouth. The calamari dinner and kids souvlaki was just as great.We were there for my toddler’s birthday and they also gave us a complimentary dessert to top things off. First time coming here and it was amazing! The place was slammed busy but everyone was working so hard and the food was to die for! Even the bartender was out helping taking care of tables and walk-ins. The waitress was so kind, efficient and apologetic about the wait. We will definitely be back as it was the best meal we had in awhile! Every bit was delicious.

This is a snack after dinner, because we were still hungry, that’s why we only order 1 entree to share.Service was good, it just we sat beside a big group of teenagers, do it was too loud for our taste.The moussaka was good, one of the better ones we had, lots of flavour, portion size was ok.The ekmak was not bad, I had better beforeOverall not bad

There's a reason this place has been around for decades. I've recently started going here again and the food is consistent, delicious, and plentiful. The servers are all really friendly and not overbearing. The prices are very reasonable as well, especially considering the plate you get.10/10, will be returning. Likely in the next month!

We had a lot of fun here with new friends we met and the food was delicious! We love Greek food and this was very good. You definitely feel you get your money’s worth!

Our first time in Yamas Taverna and definitely will not be our last! The atmosphere, service and the food!! It was so good I’m stil thinking about it!
