Visited today with friends, but never again. Things started promisingly enough and then went rapidly downhill. We waited and and selected 2 courses and a drink each from the menu. Had the soup of the day, which when it was brought out was lukewarm and the bowl barely half full. When it came to order the nut roast we were told at the carvery that they didn’t have any nut roasts and that they would check. The nut roast was clearly displayed on the menu as available. I have enjoyed Sunday roast at Ye Arrow on a few occasions and have found the staff to be helpful and polite. Sadly, today their manager Ryan let the team down as he was augmentative, aggressive and antagonistic. He certainly doesn't look like a manager and was dressed like he was going to the gym. We had a time slot from 12pm until 2pm and due to the Queens memorial service at the Cathedral parking was difficult and two of our party tuned up at 12:30. This did not make any difference to the restaurant as the rest of the party had started eating and we all planned to leave promptly at 2pm. The food and drinks at this restaurant were outstanding. However, I had a negative experience with the staff who were rude to me because of someone I was with. Despite my attempts to address the situation, they blamed me for the poor service which seemed to be a reflection of their negative attitude towards customers on a Sunday, likely following a challenging Saturday night. It is unacceptable. I tried to defend them, but it was not enough.
The food at this restaurant was incredible. My partner had the Knight burger with cheese and bacon, and I had the club wrap. Both dishes came with chips and salad. Despite not being able to finish our meals, they were so delicious that we couldn't stop eating! We definitely needed a walk around town afterwards. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely view of the castle and cathedral.

We came to the ye arrow yesterday for a carvery. We had never had it before and I can happily say it was the best one I have had yet! there was a great selection of veg and meat available at your disposal. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We will definitely be back again!
We only called in for a couple of drinks, one afternoon after visiting the cathedral. Sat outside in the beer garden in the sun, and watched the world go by. Pleasant staff, we didnt eat, but the food looked good.
I visited this restaurant for lunch with my family and friends. We had a wonderful meal and the staff were all very friendly. The manager also had a great sense of humor and made us feel very welcome.
Great location in between castle cathedral Sat outside, nice and busy, great for people watching ect Food good value, quick service, staff pleasant

Just went to watch the football with family. Manager was rude and unprofessional. Did shots at the bar and seemed drunk.
Came in for the carvery on Sunday ,superb food as usual and great service from very friendly staff and management
