Ye Old Chip Truck - Reserva de mesa

I was in Kenora for Harbour Fest and decided to try the Chip Truck located in the Canadian Tire parking lot. While in line, I witnessed a disturbing incident where a young lady returned a burger she had just purchased because it didn't taste right. The lady cooking in the truck reacted in an aggressive and inappropriate manner, yelling and screaming at the customer for at least a minute. She slammed the burger and the customer's money on the counter before continuing to yell. It was a very uncomfortable situation, especially as the customer was a mother with two young children who were visibly upset. We take an annual vacation from Alberta to Ontario and always stop here for their wonderful fries. However this year the sign had changed from "Ye" to "Le" OLD Chip Truck? Pretty sure their are new owners as well. The fries were still great but the facilities (I know it's outside) have degraded. The washroom outhouse is in dire need of repair and revitalization and out of all the picnic tables only one is in shade. Also wish it wasn't a cash only merchant as it's not directly in a town. Wee still love it though and will continue to return.

You know when you have that craving for some totally unhealthy greasy food and you can't shake it off does not matter what?Well I had it in Kenora last weekend and one of the Ye Old Chip Truck took care of it for me..."Strategically" located in town I was able to visit one of the trucks ( the one by M S Kenora) and I will tell you - poutine was awesome!!!!!Way to go guys!!!!There is one also next to Subway on Main St and one at the Travelers Info Centre.AK

I generally don't eat French fries, except from here. I don't know what it is or why but these fries are always the best, crispy and drowned in salt and vinegar if you like them that way! My husband and I share a large, and it is very large. Reserva una mesa ahora

We got a couple poutines from the chip truck. The poutine was good but it was a little on the pricey side. Hot dog & other options were also available.

Well my dad and I went and picked some fries up to being home I love salt and vinager but my dad likes plane they aren't bad they are tastey

Love the chip truck, but looks like this particular one could use a serious reno on the inside. Looking a little dumpy.

I never miss a visit to the chip truck when I'm in Kenora...even when it's snowing! Best fries in the world!

Just remember to say less salt and less vinegar! An old relic of a vehicle and there are a few around.
