We used to visit this place quite often but recently the place has gradually deteriorated badly. The pictures in their ad are not as they are in reality. They have stopped preparing the food on their premises and all they have on show is some boring sushi with absolutely no selection whatsoever. The staff is also as boring as their food. We had a chicken dish with rice, the chicken was so old and tough we could not it, the other beef dish with rice was also as bad. They no longer prepare the food on the premises and everything is prepared at a factory and brought over and heated in a microwave. I often visit this Japanese deli alone when I'm in the area to see a friend. While primarily a deli, you can also dine in and heat up ready-made tonkatsu, tempura, yakitori, as well as prepared nigiri, sashimi, and sushi rolls. The quality of the food is excellent, especially considering the price. You can easily have a meal for £10 or less. They also offer hot miso soup and sell all the necessary ingredients for making Japanese food, such as wasabi, rice vinegar, and red pepper, along with a selection of great beers like Kirin and various types of sake. The food is perfect for a quick meal or to take home for a delicious treat. The service is also lovely.
I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant for snacks, a variety of bento boxes, delicious sushi, appetizers, and coffee. They are open 7 days a week, which is great. The option to sit inside or outside is a fantastic idea. The service is quick and efficient, with minimal wait times. Make sure to check this place out!
