Parking was not easy on the night we went. There was a grand piano but it was not being played that night. The wait staff was outstanding! We did the 8 course and wine pairing. Everyone was knowledgeable and explained each dish and paired wine. I definitely ate outside of my comfort zone. There was only one thing I really did not like and didn’t finish. There was one I could have done without but I didn’t waist it. The rest were all very good in my opinion. There were at least 2 that I thought I wouldn’t like but surprisingly were very good. We happened to encounter this restaurant en route from southwest Connecticut to Buffalo, and we are so happy to find this gem! This restaurant truly meets the criteria of excellent cooking that is worth a detour . If you are looking for a carefully crafted, delicately balanced tasting menu with a South East Asian flair, you can find it at Yono! The chef pays special attention to your dietary restrictions and adjust the tasting menu accordingly. Their food truly encapsulates the beautiful medley of land and sea, paired with excellent hospitality.
I expected better food and service, but everything was below average. I will not be returning. The restaurant's interior is like a regular eatery, and I was surprised to see artificial flowers in such an expensive place – that's unacceptable. While the scallops were good, the octopus was overcooked and tough, and the pork belly appetizer was disappointing. The halibut was very dry. Although the plate with beef short ribs was huge – at least my brother was excited. The presentation and silverware were very simple. I cannot recommend this place .
Very good elements but some subpar. Great menu, the octopus sauce was amazing and the purées heart of palm .. were also exceptional. But the Halibut was overcooked and the octopus on the chewy side. The scallop entrée was good. So, great dish compositions with lots of veggies, but the cook needs to learn cook fish properly.

Our server was distracted by a large table next to us. She was trying to engage with us, but the net result did not meet our expectations. By the time we ordered, they were out of a few items. We eat out often at comparable restaurants and this one did not measure up.
Yono's is always delicious, impeccably prepared and presented, world class service. Selena and Mint made our evening delightful, and the sommelier took his time in answering our questions. 10/10 as always
