I love this chain, I really do, but this particular franchise is slipping in my opinion. Since moving to Canberra in 2015 until current, I have noticed a progressive decline in this business. I have no qualms in paying extra for black rice or guacamole, but if you're going to charge extra for these things at least do them well and don't scrimp on the serving size (that goes for all of the ingredients for that matter - I recently bought a burrito that was the size of a chikito because the server had scrimped on everything). From having the delight of zambreros in Belconnen we had high expectations of getting a similar quality and sized meal from the Gungahlin store only to be bitterly disappointed. when the food came it was quickly unwrapped to find ZERO meat when a double amount was asked for, ZERO salsa of any kind when all three were requested and maybe a sprinkle of guacamole for the $2 charge. The $11.90 (plus $2 for avo) seems an outrageous amount to charge for the smallest possible burrito around. A long time between visits. The chicken burrito with avocado was tasty, the ingredients were fresh and crisp. the burrito was not as large as I remember and didn't fill me up. The young team member was friendly, but appeared distracted as they added ingredients I specifically said not to include. I love the taste of the product so will continue to purchase, just maybe not at this location...
For a quick and healthy snack you can't beat this little hole in the wall fast food place. It serves good Mexican fare that is not too expensive. We have always had lovely fresh ingredients with that spicy hint of Mexican flavour. Go on give it a try rather than eating a Cheese Burger at the place around the corner....

Who doesn't love Mexican. Cheap, great range and great flavours. I'm a big fan of the chicken burrito bowl with chipotle. Do love their chipotle! Could improve the consistency as sometimes the quality depends on the person putting together your meal.
I said I didn't like rice on my burrito and could I get more beans instead of rice server happily obliged. Impressed that something that is cheap and quick can give nice fresh food that is good value.
Food is wonderful and very healthy. Staff are great, prices are good. I took an out-of-town friend to Zambrero, and she said it was the best take away she had ever had.
I came here with my gym partner and had a chicken wrap. Not bad wrap but one I found was that the smaller size is not enough but the larger size is too much.

Well priced, tasty food. Staff are friendly and patient with my youngest who alwats has troubles choosing between all the toppings and flavours.
Ate their chicken burrito and felt like a mix taste between Indian and Mexican flavours, so it was enjoyable.
