I like this store, switched over from freshco and metro. They have a better selection of the things I regularly buy. They also have better prices on party food like veggie trays, fruit trays, and meat and cheese trays. There are still somethings I’ll shop elsewhere for but I do the bulk of my grocery shopping here now because of the selection and prices. The prices of the items I buy here are comparable or cheaper to the stores I use to shop at. This is also the only store I have ever seen Roma pizza at in Brantford. My husband grew up on it in Hamilton and has missed it ever since we moved. He loves that we now have a place close to home to pick one up at.
I 've visited this location a few times and have had to deal with some of the rudest employees this Zehrs has to offer. Recently I took my grocerys to a check out line. The cashier (Barb) looked at me and said Don 't you know how to do self check out? I simply replied no. She said everyone should know how to do self check out! Another time I was told by an employee working the hot food section that he couldn 't make me anymore hot wings because things were slow so they had already started closing down the kitchen even though it was an hour and a half early. I think from now on i 'll do my shopping elsewhere.
Recently, I began using the delivery service and was receiving meat that expired within one or two days of purchase, despite requesting the meat have the longest possible expiry date available when picked. I called the store, simply to ask how I can better notify the staff when placing my order to avoid this in the future. I was told by a supervisor that the meat is only ever good for one or two days following purchase, and then a manager asked me why I don’t just freeze it. The service is disappointing. I will be returning to VOILA!
Earlier this week, I had to grab three different bags of hot dog buns because each bag had at least one bun with a nickel sized spot of mold on it, expiration date was July 3rd. Today we opened our bag of buns for lunch and had to throw out half of the buns because they were covered in mold expiration date was July 3rd. On sale or not, your products should be edible.

I would like to comment about that if I wanted to bag my own groceries I would go to No Frills. Or Food Basics. Isn't that why Their Prices are lower because their customers have to bag their own groceries???
They've done some renovations here and it looks great. They do not offer clothing section at this one. But wil have everything else your looking for. In store specials so keep an eye out.
Visiting this zehrs is always a treat between being accosted for change. And the worry that all the homeless people from downtown that hang out up there now might mug me
Our favourite every day grocery store. They have helpful staff and the store is well organized.
